Post your 2025 draft list

Any concerns about O'Brien short choppy skating or slight frame? 🤔
Skating is valid concern but he is not so small guy so kind of whatever, just takes more time. Frame is just more potential to fill out to me compared to Hagens. Bit of a project on that regard but there is potential.

I most notably just liked O'Briens ability to delay and play with different kinds of speeds on offensive zone. He did not always take the first obvious option but often chose another more interesting one and I found that interesting. Pass first guy but can also shoot. Also decent at faceoffs.

Good top 10 although not necessarily in the exact order you have them. I'd switch Fiddler and Lakovic.

No McQueen?

I've revised my list some, this would be the Early-May edition.

I've paid close attention to Cameron Schmidt at the U18s, and some of what I saw there had me go back and watch more tape of him from the WHL and seeing things with different eyes. As a result he's slipped quite a bit on my rankings (from #11 to #19).

Meanwhile Martin and Cootes have shot-up my rankings, and the same holds true for Gastrin, Boumedienne, and Moore.

Like the unusual suspects in the late 1st round.

You inspired me to post my draft list--not draft ranking or mock. I have been posting in Mom's Basement Stakes, so this would be my list for Buffalo (and I have also added Detroit the past two years as a second benchmark).

No Martone?
I had the list ready in case Buffalo won a lottery place. Now I figure there is almost no chance Martone is around at 9, so didn't make any updates.

I presume the full draft will look something like:

1st Rd: McQueen or O'Brien
2nd Rd: Nilson/Murtagh/McKinney
3rd Rd: Huang or Annborn *
4th Rd (two picks): Moe/Eriiksen/Stebetak
5th Rd: Chovan (if lucky) Liam Pettersen/Klyvo (more likely)
6th: Anders Miller/Neuenschwander
7th (three picks): Somervuori/LeGall/Rørth/Griva

Obviously 6th and 7th rounds are mostly guessing who will still be around

*Still prioritizing right-shot D in 2nd-3rd rounds as Sabres could use one. However, if I had been drafting for them they would have all of Luneau, Brzustewizc, Brunicke, and Luca Marrelli in the pipeline.
