God how unbearable will it be around here if that happens?Montreal* it’s Alexis Lafreniere the savior of Quebec and a starving Insanely large market canadien team. I’d be shocked if they don’t win the Sweepstakes

I haven’t heard anything about him being sick. He probably tested positive and had to run through the protocol. It would be unusual for it to take longer than 14 days from the time of his first positive test. No reason to think he won’t be ready in plenty of time.Is Parayko going to be ready for game 1?
Oh c'mon! It'll be a party!God how unbearable will it be around here if that happens?
The Blues have an exhibition game vs Chicago in 2 weeks, on 7/29 (my anniversary, gotta remember that this year). I think there is a pretty good chance this game is televised.
Chicago is a natural draw for TV, and the game is 6:30pm, the prime night viewing slot among the games scheduled that day.I'd hope so. The NHL should be doing everything in its power to get out there right now and self promote - drum up tv ratings etc
I think it’s all going to be nationally televised, but I’m not entirely sure. I would think they’d want as few people as possible in the “bubble”, so regional broadcasters would probably be viewed as unnecessary since all games are taking place in just two cities, so there isn’t much travel to worry about. How are these games gonna be broadcast? FSMW for the first 2 rounds and then NBCSN as per usual or is something else happening?
I had this big fear that they would try to pull some pay-per-view crap, but I guess that was unfounded. We would know by now.
Nope, just the usual pay-TO-view. They've gotcha either way.... I had this big fear that they would try to pull some pay-per-view crap, but I guess that was unfounded. We would know by now.
This great news to me! I much prefer Sportsnet to NBC.NBC Sports is producing the games out of Toronto and Sportsnet is producing the games out of Edmonton, including the WCF, ECF and SCF. I don’t know that the local broadcasters are completely shutout, but they may have to get creative. Darren Pang in particular has been very coy about this on social media, leading me to believe that we will see some sort of FSMW production for the round robin games and Round 1.
It depends on who it is. I hope the Blues get Gord Miller as much as possible as he is my favorite PBP guy hands down. This great news to me! I much prefer Sportsnet to NBC.
He is excellent. As is Forslund who will be calling some games for NBC.It depends on who it is. I hope the Blues get Gord Miller as much as possible as he is my favorite PBP guy hands down.
I know a lot of people like Forslund, but he's just not my cup of tea. His canned phrases like "That's hockey, baby!", "[insert goalie name here] says NO!" and "[insert team scoring first here] is off and running" just aren't what I like to hear. I like the call to be more organic. He is excellent. As is Forslund who will be calling some games for NBC.
Compare that to the dozens of NBA players that publicly ripped the rooms and meals they were provided during their quarantine in Orlando#BedFoodHockey
Schwartz will forever be known as the guy who scored with seconds left to stun the Winnipeg crowd in Game 5.While certainly not infallible, the Blues are well represented in the various NHL Super 16 pieces:
LW- Perron (14) probably the biggest head scratcher as Schwartz is better and actually plays LW
C - ROR (9) perhaps a bit high, but his season last year coupled with another strong season before the break, it's fair
RW - Tarasenko (9) not much to say here. When he's healthy he's definitely one of the better players at his position
D - Pietrangelo (4) I'd have him above Carlson since he isn't a train wreck in his own zone, but Carlson is going to win the Norris so no surprise there
D - Parayko (13) Probably fair.
G - Binnington (4) again, not much to say here.

He went from having a disappointing year, to being a post-season goal scoring machine. One of the more interesting stories of that Cup winning team. If he has good scoring stats again this post-season, he may just end up with a clutch reputation.
