We had a nice start, but Washington's top-6 is absolutely murdering us whenever they're on the ice. This is a game where we really, really, really miss those two defensemen.

Mike wasn’t bad, but yeah he’s pretty bland. It didn’t go nearly as bad as it could’ve. I expected more stuttering. He’s definitely keeping it simple, so we’ll see how that goes as he gets more comfortable.

Edmunson needs to be physical to be effective but can't expect much of that in am exhebition game

Hopefully it means he’s in the top six. He’s definitely better than Eddie and Brady, and probably better than Trevor.

Trying to keep an open mind on Skjei but still don't get the trade with how Fleury was playing.

The ice doesn't look great even Slavin lost an edge. Pucks are bouncing on a lot of people with good hands.
