Post-Game Talk: Post/Pre-game: Jets 1 Flyers 3 (Bruins tomorrow)

how is it?? looking to get something new for my boys...remember those games from way back, them, Ratchet and Clank, and Jak and Daxter were favs of mine..

Exactly as it was, perfect game for kids. Fun, funny, and builds up and is not very hard (unlike another favorite of mine Crash Bandicoot, which would be throwing your kids to the wolves).

Jak & Daxter was essentially my childhood and is on PS4 if you want your kids to play that too.

Oh and uh... yeah, those Jets, right?

I'm really concerned, it's not like these type of games have been the minority this season. We just have managed to get lucky and win a lot of these horrific performances. I can count on one hand the few actual 'good' games the Jets have played this season.

They are a bottom 1/3rd team in Expected Goals. At 5 on 5 their goal differential is only +4 compared to +26 for Toronto, +23 for Tampa and +22 for Nashville, last year the Jets were 3rd best in the league at +30. They have feasted on the PP and been on the right side of a lot of 1 goal games. They look more like a paper tiger rather than an actual contender to me, they certainly aren't up there with the best of the best in the NHL.

At least Laine showed up in November and got some priest a million dollars.
That at least is worth something.

We sure could use him in October, December, January, February, March & April.

You can definitely see the difference. Jets absolutely dominated games last year. Down by one or two going into the third? No worry. Hopefully they turn it on for the playoffs.

It's good we didn't pick up any big trades yet. If we can't play better than this, we aren't likely to win the cup and I don't want to hurt our future if that's the case.

If Washington can lose 7 in a row this team that has been playing like this all season can put 10 in a row or 10 loses in 12 no problem. In Boston have they ever won there. Columbus always seems to beat the jets here. Tampa Washington Columbus. Montreal Ottawa on the road where they lose regularly. I see a lot of l's piling up. Laine scheifele and wheeler playing like garbage for a long time. Would be ecstatic with .500 rest of the way with the way they played over the 1st 50.

Maybe this is my saltiness at this game talking but if this middling play continues... I would consider selling at the deadline rather than buying.

I agree -- Brossoit looked very good again. I don't think any Goalie would have stopped any of those goals -- all deflections etc. Brossoit is such a great acquisition for the Jets.

Just thinking the same thing. I’m hoping Chevy doesn’t over rate this team and sell the future for a rental when realistically we have no chance this year.

I'd make a joke about how the set up player should come out of Laine's future 10.5 mil contract.
After all other players in the past who were getting double digit millions have traditionally taken scrubs and made them look good.
