That's an indictment on the organization imo. That meaningless streak should have never come before the team. He could've taken the last 6-8 weeks of the season off and would've probably been a more effective player in the playoffs.

Yeah, I think we know more about the Penguins injuries and the organization then you know the multi million dollar franchise.

The coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins literally said Kessel’s injury was nothing significant.

Kessel shooting percentage went from 13% to 5.6%.

5.6% is the lowest of his career and significantly over any finals or regular season (except his rookie year).

Something was up.

especially since he was so dominant in the first half of the season. Something was obviously up

Does the team release an injury re-cap? If Sully won't do it, and the players won't talk, then maybe no info comes out at all?

So for the 3rd time the Pens gets eliminated in the second round after back to back Stanley Cup Finals. This is start to looks like a physically and mentally wall where the players can't keep going anymore. Like Halak in 2010, Holtby looked impenetrable in last games, that probably was caused by the Pens gassed out and consequence lack of focus.

Take a look at every back to back finals participant back to the islanders... there is a pretty common theme there....3 peats are nearly impossible in the last few eras
