I have never ever used the ignore button. But after the loss... it's about to get a work out.

There are literally 4-5 people that when the pens win they are nowhere to be found. But when they lose bring up 1 player to **** and state it 200x over.

Or they recite lines from revelations about how this is it the pens are toast and we will never have this chance again.

The best (and by that, I mean the worst) are the ones who never post except for when Murray has a bad game.

Murray gets 10 shutouts in a row (exaggeration), nothing. Murray then gives up 4 goals in a game, post after post detailing how they saw his demise coming.

Then there's one person who doesn't even post full sentences since half his words are censored out.

i didnt get a chance to review the whole thread, did crosby or malkin or kessel or anyone give any interesting soundbites/interviews today? when is lockerroom cleanout day?

hopefully the pens no longer give players plastic garbage bags to take their equipment home.

Olli Maatta was about to give an interview to the gang of reporters when Sid stood up in front of them and screamed, "It doesn't Maatta what he has to say!"

Then Geno nailed Kessel with the Stone Cold Stunner.

I was pointing out that people do in fact blame MAF for everything. That's all.

That poster presumably meant when Fleury actually plays. The person I responded to said people blamed him specifically for the Bruins series as well, suggesting he's getting blamed for stuff Fleury wasn't even involved in.

Also, you cut out half of that paragraph I wrote to give it proper context. I was literally responding to that poster about his inclusion of the Boston series.

That poster made it seem like he thought Fleury played every spring. I edited what you said, simply to cut to the chase, not to remove the context. I understood what you were saying, in general, and honestly, I haven't really been following your conversation... I just happened to read what you said, and then I moved on to another forum and thread, and immediately there was literally a guy blaming MAF for meltdowns every spring (aka "everything"). My point was, regardless of whether the person you were addressing added what he added to embellish his statement, it is true that some people blame MAF for everything.

They added Letestu, that was my idea all along. Simply upgrade 4C and add Grabner for wing depth. We still would have had Cole, a first round pick and Gustavsson.

Those 2 players had 0 points in the playoffs so probably wouldn’t have helped much at all.

Next season Cole would have walked for a bigger contract so we’d have a first and Gus who wouldn’t help at all next season or we could have a healthy Brassard @ 3mil.

Me too...more depressed that I can’t watch them than that they won’t win the Cup...I (only) have two obsessions, and they’re one of them....
Dare I ask what the other obsession is? Intrigue speaking.

I’d tell you but then I’d have to kill you....

Really nothing too salacious—Led Zeppelin bootlegs....
I don't fear death I welcome it (probably the military aspect of it all, seen it. Best to go out with what you believe than a meager age failure). Never been afraid of it unless I was 80 yo senile in a home and abandoned. REFUSE to get there. Nobody escapes this world alive.
So you can tell me its good.
I love me some classic rock, true rock, classic hip-hop, classic westies, some edm, it's all great.

So now it's Letang's fault because he went for a change while the puck was leaving the zone. Man. You're reaching.
Reaching? Eh, more likely, I'm just stupid. Just seems like in OT, facing a long change, it would make sense for Kris to make sure we had puck possession before completely vacating the zone with the Caps trapping and Ovi and Kuzy ready to roll at their blue line. Again, I used the term "indirect". Did Letang play this well in your opinion? Not trying to be a d***, I'm interested in understanding more about the game.

I don't believe the good times are all over.
I don't believe the thrill is all gone.
The weak ones fall the strong carry on.

Felt a bit empty today, not sinking in just yet. I have stayed away from all hockey media today. I'm still struggling with the gong shows of games 2 and 3, though; very hard to completely be ok with those, especially this fresh. For me, the events in those games spoiled this series and put a sour taste on it. Some late series gaffes by Simon and Letang also stand out, as do the wheels coming off in game 6, yet still going to OT with plenty of chances. The series was there to be had, just didn't have the finish on the myriad of opportunities to get it done. Too many key guys at various stages of injury, further complicating things.

So we have to look back and enjoy what happened, now that it is over. We've been in the middle of some great stuff over the past 29 months, that can't be denied. Still hard to say goodbye, though. Time to catch up on 29 months worth of DVR stuff, blurays still in packaging, and so many other things, I suppose. I still would have preferred to continue to let those pile up.

haha, I have a long and storied list of ignored posters. I probably miss half the stuff that happens on here but at least the people left are reasonable even if they think exactly the opposite.

DOA

Started bad

Went bad

Ended bad

Nearly didn't even deserve to make playoffs without a couple players doing colossally great after the new year.

Problems throughout the lineup.
Problems of on ice effort.
Problems behind the benches.

Good luck JR.

So for the 3rd time the Pens gets eliminated in the second round after back to back Stanley Cup Finals. This is start to looks like a physically and mentally wall where the players can't keep going anymore. Like Halak in 2010, Holtby looked impenetrable in last games, that probably was caused by the Pens gassed out and consequence lack of focus.

That 1st and Gus could have gone a long way to acquiring defensive help this season. He's got a lot of work to do to justify being the guy we have instead of that instead, even at 3m.
