Talbot was brutal. It's hard to say how Canada could have broke the Finnish defence, but having no patience and zero drive to the net don't help. Canada was not forcing penalties and those few times when they were, refs let Finns out of the hook.

In assume that this game was a wake up call for Canada.

McDavid starts to feel overrated. A none factor so far.

I agree with this. And not just because of this tournament, but everytime I watch him I come away unimpressed. A good hockey player, but nothing special as many are convinced of.

Not playing hutton in this tournament pretty much is beyond dumb. The guy is extremely talented, and is better then mattheson with his eyes closed.

Brutal, brutal game by Talbot today. Except for the first goal, the deflection, he was at fault on the Finn goals. Blew an easy save, overplayed the second goal badly, putting him down and way, way out, offered up a ridiculous rebound on the fourth goal off an easy save. I would not play him against Sweden, he buckled under pressure.

Our guys seemed more interested in goon tactics than playing the game today. No speed and a lot of frustration at the Finn shell game led to turnovers and quick transitions.

Their poor play though had a lot to do with the confidence-busting weak goals by Talbot. Give the other guy a chance. They're making a mistake if they put him in in an elimination game, he doesn't have the cojones, sorry. In truth, a back-up goalie at his best when the pressure's on the other guy.

Great done by the Finns they gave Koskinen a Canada-Jersey :handclap::handclap::handclap:

He was ppg on a terrible oilers team as a rookie, carried guys like yakupov, pouliot, maroon, korpikoski and to a lesser extent Eberle on his back, won rookie of the month 3 times, and was a Calder finalist, all while missing half the season. It's really not hard to argue that he would have accomplished more had he played more games as he was just starting to heat up at the time of his injury. What impresses you is subjective, however these are objective facts. I'd like to know what impresses you exactly?

Crosby and Ovechkin impressed me in their rookie year. McDavid just doesn't seem as much of a gamebreaker as those two.

This! McDavid has to stay healthy for a season, then we will see if he deserves a spot in the hockey superstardom.

Only time I noticed MacDavid was when he was stumped against the wall. He has never played before against a team as strong as Finnish national team so it is understandable.

Good result for both teams, Finns got huge confidence boost and Canucks got a wake up call
