LA is looking for a LHD defenseman. We might have something they'd like.

i think swapping those 2 tweeners would both be best for them, and the teams. teddy could get a boost playing there with his style, and i think mps could learn a little more over here to put his frame and talent to better use. prob wont happen, but why not.

MPS has great intangibles and d-zone awareness, just look how low his pt totals are. Must be true

Sincerely yours, HF(boards).

ill say teddy and tally for mps and hemsky. not considering any extras either team adds or whatever. we make good partners. shrug

No way Oilers do that. I know some Oilers fans are outlandish, but if we're getting Hemsky and if they are trading Hemsky, his value is close to a 70 point winger which he was. Same thing with Paajarvi, in that if they are trading him, someone's trading value back equivalent to a top prospect. Tallinder + Tedenby comes no where near close to that.

They have absolutely no desire to that trade.

Right now EDM/NJ are not good partners, because Edmonton has their D pretty much set in stone. The Devils are better off waiting for Detroit or LA to get desperate and give the Devils something they can't refuse (Brunner, Nyqvist, Gagne, J. Williams, etc.)

I definitaly like the idea of Detroit or LA becoming desperate and needing the D we can offer. I think that might be one of our best options, unless something else I don't know of pops up.

I am not sure i like anything either of those teams would offer us no matter how desperate they may get.

They have their D set in stone... age?

For better or worse, they have their six regular D now that Fistric came along with Sutton as their seventh guy. They really don't need anyone else right now.

Detroit, St. Louis, L.A., Dallas (?), Colorado, Minnesota, are all teams that will be looking for some D help. Colorado's doesn't really have the forwards we'd be looking for that they want to give up both on their NHL squad and prospect-wise.

Our best option is the other guys. As for Dallas, how would everyone feel about a:

Tedenby and Tallinder for Glennie and Ryder swap.

Tedenby/Glennie can probably both benefit from a change of scenery.

Justin Williams or Simon Gagne would definitely peak my interest.
I just vomited.

Former Flyers/Canes player that dives. Just acquire Burrows and shoot me in the head.

Also positive that he was the one who yapped at Volchie in the SCF, not Richards.

fantasy:
Henrik Tallinder, Jon Merril, Mattias Tedenby/Boucher, 2nd to LAK
Jeff Carter to NJD

actually carter has a house is sea isle city so its plausible he would waive for NJ

why not zajac and matteau too?

Didn't see Gagne is pending UFA. LA would have to add.

Honestly think the Devils would have to add. There are inherent advantages to expiring contracts in a cap environment. At first, I would think the Kings would be more interested in a rental D (they were one of the rumored teams for Wade Redden) since Matt Greene will be fine next year.

But they also have Rob Scuderi entering free agency this offseason. Scuderi's been a solid cog for them, but he'll be 35 in December. I'm not sure if they plan on keeping him. Tallinder's the same age as Scuderi, but the Kings would hypothetically only have to keep him through 2014. That would buy the Kings a year to develop Derek Forbort in the AHL.

.....and an unrelated thought: How would you guys feel about Brandon Burlon for Patrice Cormier? Cormier seems blocked in Winnipeg and their management wasn't responsible for bringing him in. They seemingly could use a little AHL depth on the backend. Similarly, Burlon seems a little lost in the shuffle with us.

// I just want a French version of the Crash Line with Matteau-Cormier-Bernier
