Poop thy pants VAN, we're coming. LAK 3 COL 1

Watching Kings Weekly with Butch Goring talking about the Islanders dynasty. I wouldn't mind that type of run for the Kings.

Watching Butchie get dealt was surreal but watching him lift the cup was so great to see. He really was one of those special all effort players. I think we will win one more cup over the next two seasons with this group but if we could win 2 more I think I would live off of it for the rest of my life. I am already doing that with the two we have won recently so who am I kidding but it sure feels great having a team that you can honestly believe has a real shot at the cup every year. So great.

The Avs behind Sakic, Forsberg and Roy only captured two Cups in a span of five seasons and that was it for them.

Seeing this team win two Cups in a span of three seasons makes me want to see them win more, not only to reaffirm that this may be a new modern day dynasty, but to do what teams like the Lakers have accomplished and to add more championship banners in the rafters adds a certain presence to the building, like walking into a shrine.

It's the intimidating feeling of dread, like I felt when the Kings would be going to Detroit to play at Joe Louis or at the Montreal Forum.

I want teams and fans of opposing teams to hate coming to Los Angeles.

****ing Nolan has turned a corner. Dude can flat out play.

I'm really loving that 4th line. So much O-zone offensive time.

Drums... drums in the deep.

Not sure where my post went...you made a point that we weren't catching VAN and I said we win out and we get 100 and they get 99. I can't find that post anywhere, but that's still the case.

We can really put the pressure on VAN on Monday night. Win it in regulation and they are going to have very tight butts.

Yeah, I saw it. Pretty sure it was in the around the league thread. This has been a wild year. Nothing would surprise me at this point.

Just found it. Bizarre, it didn't show up in my "search for my posts" function.

Anyway, we were 7 points away from VAN just a few days ago. Now we can run the table and ice them out. ****ing amazing.

Since the Staples Center opened in 1999-2000, it has seen their 4 tenants (Lakers, Sparks, Clippers, & Kings) go to the championship 12 times and winning it all 9 times. Lakers in the NBA Finals 7 times and winning 5 titles. Sparks going to the WNBA Finals 3 times and winning it all twice. Of course our Kings are 2 for 2. Clips zero! So, that's 12 championship series in the less than 15 years Staples have been in existence.

Shore does not play like a rookie. He has greatly stabilized and improved the bottom six by simply not sucking. I think the offense will come eventually.

It's amazing to see how much better he already is over veterans like Stoll and Richards.

Gives me hope that the Kings' patience and development will permit Shore to be the full time #3 C on opening night next season and that a guy like Dowd can compete for a spot as the #4 C or as a healthy scratch spot.

I'd rather have a defensively solid rookie than a offensive liability. He's working his way up the ladder. Kings may be only looking for a 4C this Summer.
