A brush up on a few names.

Oliwa - General *******. Didn't want to be in Columbus period. Fought with teammates. His trade landed the pick for Aaron Johnson, which at the time seemed like a steal.
Stefan Legein- Retired from hockey to work at a pizza joint. Does not play well with others. Zenon Konopka had to slap him around in Syracuse. Has never played an NHL game and probably never will.
Bryan Berard- Steroids. Back problems. Snipped Columbus after leaving when they were the only org. that would give him a 2 year deal.
Anson Carter - Should not be on the list. He contributed the greatest Holiday Music Album of all time and was better than Zherdev.
Jan Hrdina- Hooking.

Mike Todd must be added. His presence as arena host solidifies the amateur hour impression of our arena entertainment.

No high def super scoreboard can compensate for his no-talent yuckin' it up delivery night in and night out. Seriously, is that rube the best CBus has to offer?

Jeff Carter wins this race in a photo finish, appropriate seeing his friend Kevin Harvick won the Daytona 500 in a photo finish. He was traded from Philadelphia (admittedly, where he wanted to be), but pouted the whole time he was in Columbus and really didn't give a crap. Instead of pissing and moaning, try to one-up the Flyers by making your new team (Columbus) better.

Adam Foote's Ocean's Eleven-style exodus gets him a very close second. Ship equipment to Calgary to be received by the Avs, charter a private jet to get you there ASAP, but try to haggle just a little while longer for that $500k that would convince you to stick around and tell the media how sad you are to be traded when it's over to the only team of 29 others you'll waive your NTC for. I was tickled to see his last season result in a 15th place finish in the West.

I'm legitimately torn on Rick Nash. He's got the skill and probably deserves a shot at winning, which the front office failed at helping him with miserably, but it does leave a bit of "quitter" image tarnishment since he'd wanted out for months. His "I think I should be traded if it helps the team get better" was an attempt to be nice, but came across as the only way a notably shy, reserved millionaire could imitate Denis Lemieux in "Slap Shot" saying "TRADE ME RIGHT F-ING NOW".

shouldn't Dwayne Roloson, Mathieu Schneider, Dallas Drake, or Darryl Sydor be on the list?

Didn't it later come out that Roloson was snubbed by MacLean, who didn't think he was NHL-ready?

1. Oliwa--there are certain things outside of hockey that make this so.
2. Foote--yes, we'll never know the full story, but his actions even after his plane ride justify this.
3. Carter--guy was a total jerk to fans. I get he wasn't happy here, but that wasn't any of our problems.

It may take a few months to get Todd fired, but what we really need is a lot of press in the house when we launch. The new GM press conference seems ideal, a perfect arena to voice our position. Gotta get our message out, after all. Plenty of press/major hockey media in attendance for an announcement that big, we can just piggyback our unrelated cause to all the hubbub.

How about getting tees printed "F.O.C.H." Fire Our Corny Host?
