I think we'll be at 98.

10 more wins, 4 more OTLs than last season. Somewhere between 7th and 10th in the conference, depending on how the Penguins, Capitals and Islanders hold up.

Or maybe guys like Berggren and Edvinsson shock the hell out of us, Lalonde proves to be a great HC and they get above 100?
I voted over 100.. I can see Berggren and Edvinsson shock. Full year with Vrana who can score and I think he hits 40 or just under. Lalonde has a ton of options as far as lines go. Everything that was added in the offseason is an upgrade. Kubalik has slumped but has hit 30 goals, Copp will be good for at least 20 goals. Perron could be 20-30. With Larkin Bert and Raymond as well I don't think people realize we now have guys for all 3 lines that are legit 20-30 goal scorers.

On the defensive side, everything has been upgraded Including goaltending. Could be a darkhouse tandem in the league. The team is 100% new and has a core together.

Just curious but has any team or what was the most recent team to get such an overhaul from last year the this year? Raymond and Seider are studs from last year, all new coaching staff, entire new second line and more depth, new defenseman and still a few more rookies that have big potential..

Not too mention some good prospects still to come, a ton of options and a lot of cap space if the team surprises and we turn to buyers at the deadline.

Huge changes this year: The additions of Perron and Copp; a little more defense and grit from the blue line; Vrana will start the year healthy; some young guys (Berggren) might push other guys down to the 4th line -- we suddenly have some depth...a new coaching staff...

I'm guessing 95 points. We'll just miss the playoffs in a difficult division.

Of course, a lot depends on goalie play, and that's always hard to predict. And injury -- if Larkin or Seider goes down early in the year then we won't reach 90 points. On the other hand: If we avoid major injuries to core people, and if one of Nedeljkovic or Husso plays up to what their ceiling appears and they're a contender for the Vezna, we might actually make the playoffs this year.

I'm guessing in the middle range of that 80-90 point window.

In my experience, the first year that people expect a big jump in the rebuild is almost always a bit of a disappointment. I don't expect a '22 Tigers style faceplant, but I think we'll make a more modest step forward than some anticipate. Don't get me wrong, I like our offseason, but this team could realistically jump forward like 15 points and still miss the playoffs.

In other words, I'm not frustrated with anyone in the organization if we miss the playoffs this season - I expect that to happen. In '23/24 I'm probably demanding a bit more out of Yzerman, Lalonde, and the roster.
