Please. One horrible playoff doesn't wipe away his fantastic regular season. We need Wiz

I'm not convinced. He is a defenseman who's strength is his power play slap shot.
Not sure we need an Alex Ovechkin on the Blue line.

Wiz has the will and desire, just not sure he fits into the Jackets future with his style.

Johnson
Murray
Tyutin
Savard
Prout
Erixson
Nikitin if the contract is right

OK, I now want to really beat the Pens so I can go to the Pens forums and say "hey guys, I know you're frustrated about the blowups every year, but hang in there, you have a great team and I'm sure you'll be raising the Cup again one of these years."

I think the Pens go down this year against Boston.

Trust me pens fans are much more depressed. We feel washed up and Bylsma until the past two games has been godawful. And most pens fans would pick boston in 5 or 6 over pitts. Praying the habs can pull it out. Columbus would be able to go toe to toe with most teams like NYR/boston since the style is similar, Pittsburgh just seems to have that speed/skill that gives a team like cbus trouble

Not sure if you mean me, but I'll answer, and you will hate the answer. Your team has played well this series, but they have not played as well as we have played poorly. It really shouldn't take an expert coaching performance for the #2 seed to survive the #7 seed.

It's also not just about this series, but four consecutive EPIC failures in the playoffs. Three of those disasters were against lower seeded teams we should have beat (Yea, Boston was a lower seed as well and I'll address that). After winning a Cup with someone else's team and someone else's system he accomplished the following:

Getting beat as a huge favorite by Montreal in 2010, just embarrassing that Bylsma made no adjustments over seven games. None.

Against Tampa we didn't have Sid and Geno, but we did have a solid lineup and a 3 games to 1 lead. The Lightning then made adjustments and Bylsma didn't. Epic fail.

2012 saw an embarrassing performance against our most hated rival. Not only did Bylsma fail to make an adjustment, he couldn't even coach the team well enough to not allow Philly to dictate how the games were played. Laviolette actually laughed at Bylsma in the press for allowing Philly to get the matchups they wanted in Pittsburgh even though the home team gets the last change. In reply Bylsma said he didn't worry much about matchups. Epic fail.

2013 I realize we were a higher seed than Boston, but I don't think anyone would have made us a huge favorite like we were the previous three disasters. Losing to Boston wasn't a shocker, scoring two goals and getting swept certainly was. Again, no adjustments from Bylsma, just claims that the guys needed to execute better.

Columbus hockey has a lot to be proud of and your team played a great series here. I don't know if this is the series (or if game 4 is the game) that puts the Jackets on the map, but this series and the upcoming All-Star game in a great city should bode well for you. Having said that (and mean it) I don't think you should question why we dislike Bylsma unless you went through what we have with the guy, at the very least it doesn't make me a jack ass.

Good luck CBJ.

Your coach has won a Stanley Cup, a Silver Medal and has made the playoffs every year (EVERY YEAR HE HAS BEEN A COACH)and won several series. He is consistent, a winner.

The league has more parity than ever with the salary cap, the days of winning multiple cups in a row are over.

He's a keeper, but we need to treat him like Mark Streit. No penalty killing, no time against top lines. Just a power play specialist.

Vitale looks done... I made a thread about this recently... not intentional at all. You would have to be crazy to do that on purpose. Painful

Totally intentional. Look at how he extended his leg out. Right after Comeau's hit.

But I do agree with your original statement.

And the guys need to muster some testicular fortitude here. At least don't get shutout.

Did anyone else catch James Neal being James Neal after the goal there? Neal took a jab at the back of Comeau's head.
