Even in spite of this disastrous game 6, I'm mostly pleased with this series.

A lot to build on but still a lot to work on.
Agree but the way they got schooled/didn't show up last game was quite annoying. Tonight's game isn't any better but I do like the fact that it seems like they're still trying, even if it's 4-0.

Let's not forget how bad of a matchup this looked for us before the series.

Like I said, more good then bad. Lots to build on in all aspects of the game and we're far closer to being a perenial playoff team then bottoming out

I'm not even angry, it's been a hell of a ride. Next season should be even better.

I am not angry either, these guys are easy to root for, just wish that they would find some success tonight (a couple of goals) to reward the fans who are there and so that they can feel the appreciation of our fan base

I'm also not angry or disappointed in the least. This playoff run and this team has ignited this city, now I do question whether fans will stick around for next year until near the end of the season as one season won't bring back sellouts or near sell outs every night, but lets just keep building :D. Happy for the year, I don't think we will come back from 4-0 so with the assumption that this is a loss, I hope that the players build off of this. We've seen key young players step up this post season, hopefully they will build upon it in the offseason.

Yeah, score some goals to make it a close one and show that as long as the fans don't quit, they won't. Whatever the final score is, I hope and expect the crowd to give the players a final massive ovation after the game.

I would wish them luck, they are certainly going to need it

Well the teams I want to lose usually win and vice versa, so there's that.

I agree with the others though, good season. This is a young team that ran out of gas. I thought one win would be a success and they've surpassed that and they've learned about playoff hockey. I will say one thing that concerns me about this team is Bob. I just don't think he's as consistent or as good as others do.

Keep in mind that we took what is essentially the 2-7 series 6 games as the 7.

I think this division playoff format (with this essentially be in a "1 v 4") has had a subconscious effect of increasing expectations of lower seed fans (especially the wild card teams who would've been 7 and 8 seeds in the old system).

You go where you set your goals. We've consistently set our goals as "making the playoffs" or "making some noise in the playoffs" through the years. Even this year in interviews, we have guys saying they want to make some noise in the playoffs. It's 90% mentality.

This offseason I want management, coaches, players, trainers, the water boy, Leo Welsh, the guy who drills the goal posts in during intermission, and Mike Todd to come out and express that the organization's goal is nothing less than winning the Stanley cup.

Yeah, it looks like they got us this year but we have a team we can be proud of. Can't wait to see what happens with another year of seasoning and a healthy Horton.

We are a young team who has learned a lot this season, even in this series. the future is bright for a change

Where's that jackass Pitt fan that wanted Bylsma fired? He's made some amazing adjustments.

Specifically putting Crosbly and Malkin together and switching the defensive philosophy and shutting us down completely.

Not sure if you mean me, but I'll answer, and you will hate the answer. Your team has played well this series, but they have not played as well as we have played poorly. It really shouldn't take an expert coaching performance for the #2 seed to survive the #7 seed.

It's also not just about this series, but four consecutive EPIC failures in the playoffs. Three of those disasters were against lower seeded teams we should have beat (Yea, Boston was a lower seed as well and I'll address that). After winning a Cup with someone else's team and someone else's system he accomplished the following:

Getting beat as a huge favorite by Montreal in 2010, just embarrassing that Bylsma made no adjustments over seven games. None.

Against Tampa we didn't have Sid and Geno, but we did have a solid lineup and a 3 games to 1 lead. The Lightning then made adjustments and Bylsma didn't. Epic fail.

2012 saw an embarrassing performance against our most hated rival. Not only did Bylsma fail to make an adjustment, he couldn't even coach the team well enough to not allow Philly to dictate how the games were played. Laviolette actually laughed at Bylsma in the press for allowing Philly to get the matchups they wanted in Pittsburgh even though the home team gets the last change. In reply Bylsma said he didn't worry much about matchups. Epic fail.

2013 I realize we were a higher seed than Boston, but I don't think anyone would have made us a huge favorite like we were the previous three disasters. Losing to Boston wasn't a shocker, scoring two goals and getting swept certainly was. Again, no adjustments from Bylsma, just claims that the guys needed to execute better.

Columbus hockey has a lot to be proud of and your team played a great series here. I don't know if this is the series (or if game 4 is the game) that puts the Jackets on the map, but this series and the upcoming All-Star game in a great city should bode well for you. Having said that (and mean it) I don't think you should question why we dislike Bylsma unless you went through what we have with the guy, at the very least it doesn't make me a jack ass.

Good luck CBJ.

Johansen has been a beast. And this seems like Boone Jenner's coming out party. He should be a huge player next year.

I certainly learned a lot about Columbus and I certainly underrated them coming into this series.

OK, I now want to really beat the Pens so I can go to the Pens forums and say "hey guys, I know you're frustrated about the blowups every year, but hang in there, you have a great team and I'm sure you'll be raising the Cup again one of these years."

I think the Pens go down this year against Boston.

God dammit I hate stupid sympathy from other fans. Little pisses me off more. No offense to the people doing it, but holy ****. Infuriating, especially after 14 years of it.

One day we won't need it

I'll feel good about this season tomorrow. Right now, I'm just too disappointed by how ineffectual the team has been in the year's biggest game. A couple of goal here in the third would cheer me considerably, though. The fans in the Arena, tonight, deserve that.
