I seriously almost fainted when that late goal by Dubi went in. It's been forever since we've scored with our net empty.
Also, to all you Umberger haters: You can talk all the crap you want, but if Umby doesn't block that shot that leads to the Foligno goal, then there could have been a very different result in OT.

Overall, hell of a game, and hell of a series. After that late 2nd period PP goal by Joey, there was very little doubt in my mind the Jackets weren't going to complete the comeback and win.

Here's to hoping the Jackets get a win this Saturday, and then come back to NWA and finish this thing off!

Usually I get a bad feeling and it seems like the opposing teams ends up scoring. I had a bad feeling during that shift and when the shooter was about to shoot it, I had a feeling it was going in. Then Umberger goes face first to block the shot and the rest is history.

And that was the first Jackets game Wennberg has ever saw in person. This kid brings luck, we need some luck in the future too.

SOOOO LOUD:yo:

One of the top live sports events I've ever been to. Been such a long journey to get to experience that atmosphere and soaked up every minute of it. It's right there to being at the NCAA tournament games when Ohio floored Georgetown in 2010 and then in 2012 defeated Michigan/So. Florida for Sweet Sixteen berth.

BTW....does anyone taunt their pets like they were Fleury? Or have I just been to too many hockey games lately.

BAI --- LEY...BAI----LEY....BAI---LEY... (the wife says I'm being mean, but Bailey seems to like the attention)

It's gotta be tough for Tyutin/Murray/Horton to have to watch.

I love the crowd and the fact that it's 90% CBJ fans. It frustrates me, though, because we see the type of following the team CAN have if it were competitive sooner.

If Bob can steal us a game, I think we can win the series. That's a pretty big if, though, considering all the firepower Pitt has. Regardless of what happens, this is obviously a huge step forward for the development of the younger players and the franchise.

I want to thank the Jackets for giving me and 19,000 others a night we'll never forget. The noise was unbelievable, like a rock concert on steroids. I've been to lots of important games in this town, but I think tonight's game was the greatest game in Columbus history. For the first time, I think the City of Columbus is fully aboard the "believe train."

What also impressed me was the fan reaction after the game. Chants of C-B-J and Let's Go Jackets throughout the concourses, people high fiving each other, it was really chill inducing. I'm still charged up at 2:12AM and will gladly accept a sleepless night. BTW, the replay is on right now, it's in the third period with 6:30 to go on Fox Sports Ohio.

Love the guy, I honestly can't remember about a prospect I have been more excited for than him. He seems to have it all. I may need a bridge name before I get to CBJWennberg(insert his number here), but I won't rule out waiting on it.

One more thing after watching the tying goal. Please for the love of all that is holy, DITCH THE CHILI CHANT, it really took away from the celebration and the deafening noise. I lost my marbles at the arena when they played that.

The team posted a video of inside the locker room again after the game. This one was hbo 24/7 quality. They follow dubi as he gets the first star of the game and into the dressing room, and then into Richards speech. Was pretty awesome, I'd love to see us in one of those shows.

Europe. Somewhere.

Jumpin' Jackets! Jacket in the Box? Dub In The Sky? Meh.

I'm always too late to post my true reaction here. I usually lie in bed with my iPad, "resting" but watching CBJ until 3am. Hard to post, but not hard to get JACKED! Yeah, it's hard to sleep, but whatever...

Anyway, I'm giving up hope that Bob can steal a game. I'm not even the littlest bit confident he can put in a good game - .920%+, 2 GA or less. It's not all his fault - the Pens are talented and the team shares blame, but it seems the Pens' style has a way of affecting the teams they play, everyone except Boston at least (one of the few teams whose game always forces the other team to adapt). The Jackets are still forechecking the right way, but these constant lapses are brutal.

I was gonna post this a few weeks back. Decided against it but I will now. I mostly read here (posting is overrated... or at least not ideal when on an iPad in bed whilst using another app, grrrr Apple), and I always like to read other teams' boards as well. The amount of hate most fans have for their teams is staggering. And I often understand, at least somewhat. But you know what? I don't feel that towards the Jackets. Ever. Even when they blew their load in game 3, even when they sleep-walked through the first 10 minutes last night. I think that says a lot about the core we've built, the types of players we've brought in. I never hated Nash, but I cared less for his lazy ass than just about everyone on our current roster. Guys like Jenner, Dubi, JJ, DMac - they play so hard and so passionately for the jersey and the guys around them, not the name on their back. Many teams have that on their 4th line or whatever, but the Jackets' whole lineup is chock-full of guys who would take a slapper to the face for merely the small contribution it'd make to help the Jackets win. Sure, sure, this isn't unique in the NHL, but I think the Jackets have a higher percentage of these players than most teams.

Oof. Long paragraph - take a breath. Yeah, if Horton, Tyutin and Murray were all in, I'd really like the Jackets' chances in this series. As it is... I guess you could say 50-50, but I have to confess it's more 60-40 Pens. They've got 2 out of 3 at home (which isn't a scary proposition but consider how awesome our crowds have been), and they're still a great team far more experienced than ours.

Either way, the future is bright. And best of all? Many people still don't know that. Even considering all the many dozens of posts in the general forum, posts like "wow the Jackets are fun to watch" and "wow the Jackets hit a lot and forecheck so well" and "damn the Jackets are much better than I realized" - people still don't 'get' the Jackets because players like Calvert and Atkinson and Jenner aren't flashy names. As we all know, though, and some of those people are getting glimpses of, they earn their stripes on the ice.

Hopefully Jenner's coming out party this playoffs leads to amazing things in the future. He has monster 1st line power forward written all over him, he just has to get there.

If you live in Columbus and went to the game wearing a Pens jersey - and you're STILL a Pens fan after that, just move to Pittsburgh. You can't be helped.

crazy game last night and I gotta say, never thought Columbus was that much of a hockey market but you guys proved me wrong and Im glad.

Amazing come back win. Habs made one hell of a comeback against the Sens in March and ever since, we've been on a roll, hope this wins give the jackets the same kind of confidence. You guys can beat them and now, after that tying and OT goal, you are inside Fleury's head.

To think you have guys like Wennberg, Rychel and Heatherington in the minors..wow. You guys are going to be an exciting team to watch.

Hope to meet you in the Eastern Conference Final....wont be so nice though ;)

I gotta say, as much credit as we are giving Umberger for that blocked shot, how about some love for David Savard beating Crosby to the puck in our end of the ice that he eventually was able to get the rush down the ice because of. Without that kind of absolute effort from him, this game would have finished 4-2.
