I gave up going to the Rbar long ago before games that draw big crowds for the opposing team.

My advise, and where I go? Short North. Lot's of great bars and still a short walk to the arena. Not to mention good happy hour deals.

Oh and, Go Jackets!

Hope you have a great time tonight!! Since this is a special moment I'd stay down in the arena/plaza area or even short north as mentioned.

However, there is a desolate outpost down close to where Nationwide Blvd ends called Betty's Bar. It doesn't look like much but their BURGERS are incredible. Not a place to gather for most but this is where we go to have a couple cheap beers prior. Not today for me though.

it's easier to say taped than DVR'd, though I do still own a VCR and about 6 crates of old hockey games on video tapes, so it's an option if the DVR ever craps out! haha

Cord Camera can convert those to a newer format for you.... Oh wait... :sarcasm:

Savard has been one of our best dman this year IMO. He took a big step this season and I have no problem with him getting "exposure".

I've liked what I've seen from Savard this season for sure, but it's always a different story when a guy makes the jump to top minutes. Hopefully he handles them like a champ.

Betty's Bar does have great food! Use to shoot pool out of the year's ago, when Shorty (Betty's daughter) ran the place :yo:

Oh, and GO JACKETS!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

...Really?
Bruce Drennan will apparently be at NWA.

Who's Bruce Drennan?

...Not entirely sure if serious, but he hosts a talk show on STO and is a long time member of the Talk radio circuit in Cleveland.

I guess they are going to be on the scene or something? He's a big Indians guy, don't think I've EVER heard him talk about Hockey though.

He's probably there for the Clippers game (Clips are still the Indians' AAA team, correct?). He wouldn't know a blue line from a clothes line (to quote Al Michaels).

Drennan hosts All Bets Are Off on Sportstime Ohio. He's been on since 3:30 and has had Rimer, Davidge, and Giesenschlag as guests so far. He knows nothing about hockey but talks loudly and is enthusiastic.

Well then, welcome aboard the bandwagon Bruce. Hope you stay on in both good times and bad (judging from the teams he comments on, he should know the bad side of things).
