I hope they are holding back Stanley as an extra piece in a 55/37 trade. I really don't want to start the season with him on the roster.

Feel bad for Harkins, thought he was finally going to get his shot with the Kings, not sure why he was not included in this package esp with Kupari coming back.

I like the value we got but it is heavy on the quantity side, Vilardi is a question mark. Still glad to be rid of PLD, a guy who to be honest was ruining watching the Jets for me watching him go out for a casual skate in too many games.

You don't see some risks with vilardi?

Iafallo style players are either being dumped, or traded for peanuts league wide (ie Hall or Hayes or johansen). I'll admit dunno enough about Kupari, but the 2nd should be high.

I said earlier tough to judge without them playing.
Chevy did great! Remember how this started as Montreal or bust? Dubois wanted out and made it public...thank God we got as much as we did for him.

Yup... I'd have been OK with 8.5M x 8 for PLD... but I'm also OK with this return. Which means it is probably a good deal for both sides

I'd be OK paying 8.5x8 for him if he showed up and played like he gave a shit in atleast 70-75 games each season. As it stands he only seems to give a f*** in roughly 45-50 games but maybe in LA his give a shit factor will be higher?

I said this all season... guys like Connor/Scheifele can half-ass games and still put up good point totals because of their god given natural talent. PLD doesn't have the natural talent level to be taking games off and still generating offense, with his game he has got be going at it and scratching and clawing each game to be effective. Let's see if he can put it together in LA.

As a life king kings fan I absolutely hate this deal for la

Vilardi is gonna be a star. He finally came around last year and this kids has sick hands. Amazing creativity. If he stays healthy , he’s gonna be a heck of a player.

Kupari is big and strong and can skate. Why we are tossing him in blows my mind. He’s gonna be a 20 goal guy one day.

This trade makes me sick to my stomach. Absolute over payment
If Dubois ever figures it out between the ears he's already a star.

Valardi is an RFA. Any concern he doesnt want to re-sign here and walks when he becomes UFA?

Considering Vilardi's choice is either play here or go to Europe for 4 more years, I don't have a concern. He also has had some tough breaks health wise and probably doesn't want to dick around until he gets the payday. I wonder if the Jets sign him long term or bridge him. A 1 year bridge followed by a long term deal might be best. Not a lot of comparable players to him with only 1 real NHL season with a different team signing long term to even know what a contract would look like.

I think his hip injury sloowed him down in the second half of the season. He was lights-out the first half

But it happened every season. He sucked in his first season with the Jets where he was so bad that he was at times playing on the 4th line by the end. Started off hot but again faded down the stretch in his 2nd season and did the same last season. It's just happened too many times for my liking (not to mention the stuff in Columbus, which I admit is the lens through which I see all things PLD).

I like how the draft pick was originally Montreal's. That has to be some epic trolling right there. Maybe not as good as Carolina's signing bonus, but this one is pretty good.

(For those unaware: there was talk about Montreal offersheeting PLD, and this would have been one of the picks involved)
