I agree this is a jinx thread, but if I had to choose then it's Toronto. Imagine the complete meltdown the Leafs fan base would have if the Sens got further than the Leafs in the playoffs after 1 year compared to them trying to get out of the first round constantly.

Voted Washington, as I see them as an overachieving team that could fall back to earth in the playoffs.

I'm not saying they suck, just that they are behind Carolina, New Jersey, Florida, Tampa, and even perennial chokers Toronto in how I see them transitioning to playoff hockey.
Capitals definitely remind me a ton of the 2018-2019 Flames. Conversely, we have many similarities with the 2018-2019 Avalanche.

They added seven players in the off season. They are the 2nd highest team in goals/game.

I don’t think it's a fluke they are where they are. Some pundits have ranked them in the top 5 category.

I want to face a playoff opponent in the first round.

It's December, we are tied for 8th in the conference with 1 game in hand, but we are also only 1 point up on 12th... and 4 points up on 14th... things can change VERY fast...

Let's just make it first.
We are also 3 points out of 6th with two games in hand. I'm going to choose glass half full...

Bettman on suicide watch.

The best thing that could ever happen to Bettmans reputation is a Winnipeg-Ottawa final

The media would have to print long articles on how he saved Ottawa and brought the Jets back and it would be the only nice things said about Gary apart from things about money, these articles would be about values and not many people like Bettmans values so it would completely change where his legacy is going which will only be about money
