I'm don't believe Reinbacher would have made the club in 2024. Maybe in the last month of the season. So the only Habs player we got a major injury is Laine. I'm sure you remember 2022 and 2023. We broke the Habs record for injury. It has pretty much the Rocket of Montreal in 2022 and 2023.
I agree on RB, we’d probably have seen him later. But it still sucked and Laine’s injury just seemed to create a real dark atmosphere coming out of camp.

The team need to win 25+ out of the 47 remaining games minimum to maybe have a shot at the playoffs. A hard task but not impossible

I do think that a trade to reinforce either the offense or defense would be needed for that. The team overall performances have been a roller coaster. It needs more consistency and stability
I’d go D if anything. Obviously an upgrade on Dvo would be great. But if you could get an upgrade on Savard, I think it would help a lot. An upgrade on Matheson is probably too much to ask but even another little tweak could do wonders. We’ll see how Dobes does

We're better than our record shows, 2 more wins in a row brings us at an even .500

If Slafkovsky keeps it up and Dach wakes up.. We are better and deeper than some teams ahead of us.

If we get rolling, management might be thinking to make more trades to upgrade the roster this season.

Tonight is Tampa,

GO HABS GO!

Remember when their December streak was just because of playing weaker teams?

Wonder what the excuse is now?

Florida teams didn't play their #1 goalies?

Top teams taking it easy on us because we're a bottom feeder?

Or maybe, just maybe, MSL knew what he was talking about when he said the young group was getting closer to flipping the switch?

We will have more bad streaks this year, and a key injury or two could drive us back to the bottom 5 quickly... That's the risk with a young team with very minimal top 6/top 4 experience & depth.

But, the signs are clearly there,Habs are building something special, slowly but surely.

Future is bright 😎

That 2nd wild card spot is attainable. We're better than most of the teams above us right now, and we're trending upwards.
Not impossible but I still think it’s a longshot.

I think we’re more of a .500 type team. We look great sometimes and terrible other times. Consistently inconsistent.

We’ll see though. It’s encouraging that we’ve improved so much after that dreadful start. And the 2nd line seems to finally be starting to click.

Habs have won 5 out of 6.... the kind of run that they haven't had since early 2022. And look where they are.... still 5 points out of a spot. How many points did they make up during this run?

It just goes to show how difficult the task is to jump so many teams.
