The overeactions are crazy , franchement boys vous êtes soft un peux , team is ass and in the mix , y'all thought it was gonna be flowers and roses?

The only ones than can complain are the real true pure tankers ( like myself ) but even I can't complain about this season much. They've punched above their weight.

The tankers were called culture destroyers wanting to emulate buffalo and edmonton when we wanted a top 5 pick to start the season. Now even the culture promoters wanna cry about being in the mix. This is exactly what you guys wanted

C'est notre côté Plekanec

What happened in 2019? All I can be certain of is that that team was probably garbage on paper like every single habs team I've ever seen in my life

In 2019, Montreal had more points than Dallas, Vegas, and Colorado, who all qualified for the playoffs, but because the Western Conference was weaker, they all got in with less points.

But that was a blessing in disguise because Habs picked 15th and they took Caufield.

And them missing the playoffs this year could also be a blessing because it's slowly looking like Calgary is going to miss the playoffs. And if Habs miss them, as well, then Habs will have two picks between 13-16.

As frustrating as it is to watch them play poorly and be dominated these last few games, they are still very much in the mix. So either way, the season is a success. If they make the playoffs, we get to experience it. If they don't, then their pick will be a few spots higher.

Day off in Florida maybe that will recharge the batteries :dunno:

I think Hughes expected an outcome like this at the trade deadline. He didn’t acquire any NHL depth, not even a fourth liner. He knew the roster was not likely to have a chance of winning a playoff round even if they had “made it in”.

another loss tonight against the Canes and i think we can kiss our chances goodbye
Nah
We picked a great time to slump as our main WC competition are also struggling

Win 4 of the next 7 (aka a playoff round) & we'll be right there with a few games to go.

Impatience is a hallmark of Fandom in some circles...

Indeed

Nah. Bad takes abound from some regardless of whether a poster thought this year was a top 5 or a playoff desired outcome.

Emotional takes are inevitable from such a diverse and engaged fan base.

Kinda like a newborn crying to be fed because he's uncomfortable, only to eat more and cry more in a vicious cycle all because his discomfort was actually indigestion, not hunger. When you don't know why you're really upset, everything seems horrible.

Fortunately, Habs are trending in exactly the right direction across several key areas. While no amount of success will appease some, the volume of idiotic posts should continue to decrease...

But of course. I told my dad we had made the playoffs and habs controlled their own destiny while he was in hospital. I think he watched that game about 15 days ago. But like my dad, the habs are sliding off a cliff.

Sad to say he died with family by his side last Friday. Stage 4 lung cancer diagnosed 3 weeks prior. My wife said she will wear a habs Jersey for her trip to Toronto for the Habs-Leaf game. Even though she is more so a leaf fan because of her dad. Now I just need to find my Vintage 50s era Bouchard #3 Captain jersey. My dad was also called Butch most of his life and my RLN matches the sweater.

So I may or may not be posting much into the future. Still uncertain because of how my dad and I bonded a lot through watching and playing hockey and how it is (at present) upsetting watching the habs after his recent passing.

But still cheering the boys on. Come on you slugs get the lead out and at least make the playoffs, too late to tank this biotch. Might as well get some PO experience.

Cheers/Salut :D
