Orlov was fine. He was easily the most physical player on the ice for the Canes which you bitch about their lack thereof incessantly. He saved the game twice on the PK giving up his body in OT. He was probably the 2nd best defenseman tonight.I mean I wouldn't say any of Ghost, Orlov and Walker had a particularly good game tonight. Ghost was dreadful, Orlov was rough and Walker was a guy noticably fighting it.
We absolutely have to play Nikishin the next game. Maybe slot in Morrow as well. NJ is going to be feeling it playing 5D that long tonight, if we take it to them early on Sunday that game could get ugly
Walker made that bad play on the 1st goal but otherwise was completely fine. He and Ghost were getting caved in by the Devils top line because that’s what happens when the 3rd D pair gets stuck out there with the opponents best.
They generated ZERO offense 5 on 5. That was the biggest issue tonight.
