Hopefully Montreal will be on a sugar-high from Demidov's first period and has an energy crash the rest of the night
Man if there is a team that really should have drafted Demidov before Montreal it's the other team in this game. Did Davidson think a teenager could carry an entire offense? I wonder what his overall gameplan even is, continue the suck through the McKenna draft?
There is playing a good period and then there is being asked to carry a disaster of a team for a couple years, those are very different thingsThe truth is Demidov is a teenager and he's carrying the team in his first game ever.

For all his faults Bedard has led his team in scoring 2 years in a row. He's not matching the label the media and some people put on him but he's not a complete scrub. He and Demidov would have been a dangerous pairYeah true but how long did it take Bedard to carry any period for Chicago?
It comes down to talent, Demidov is clearly special, Bedard isn't that guy
If by poetic you mean bullshit. The hockey gods owe us!Kinda poetic the kid we should have picked will help end our season
He's got A LOT more help than Bedard does. Chicago would kill for a Hutson, Suzuki or CaufieldThe truth is Demidov is a teenager and he's carrying the team in his first game ever.

Losing and expectations already seem to be weighing pretty heavy on him. 80 games at 20 minutes a night is also pretty physically exhausting too, pretty rough go for a kid all aroundPunch in the gut but that's about our season ending, not about Demidov or the draft.
I was confident that Demidov was going to be an instant star player so I'm adjusted to that, I was just hoping he'd need a couple games to find his timing in a new league. Exactly two games to adjust was my hope. I really like the player. He is a joy to watch and seems like an unpretentious down to earth kid. He's working on language #3 now, not just starting English like some guys.
Bedard is absolutely drowning in the sea of incompetence around him. It seems like the Hawks thought they had forward covered after the Bedard draft, and didn't invest enough around him.
It's one game at the end of the season against one of the worst teams in the league who have no reason to play except to spoil Montreal's playoff opportunity.if you watch the game he's playing with Newhook and Armia and pretty much carried both plays where we scored 2 pts
He's not even on the 1st PP wave.
Chicago looks pretty decent, they can definitely win itTied up! Hoping they can keep pushing

Demidov doesn't necessarily have the best linemates with him but he does get to play against the Blackhawks, the one team Bedard doesn't get to juice his stats against.
Though Demidov got Newhook to score right away, that is Hart Trophy caliber stuff.
