Detroit has won TWO games in regulation since February 1st, they are under .500 in their last 10 and have lost 4 in a row.

......I think they are done.
I would not count them out. All it takes is winning back to backs and then you are right back in the thick of it.

People called Montreal done and here they are, one point back. Nobody is done in this race except Buffalo and Pittsburgh.

Detroit has the toughest stretch to go, but they can do it.

Rooting for regulation between Sens and Rangers (I’d probably lean more to Ottawa)

Rooting for Seattle over flyers

Lightning over bruins

Flames over canadians

Sharks over islanders

Just looking at the standings.

The CBJ could realistically finish as high as 2nd in the division or as low as 14th in the conference. It's going to be a wild last quarter of the season ride.

Looked like Hamonic suffered a significant leg injury late in the game for Ottawa.

Also, Igor started in net for the Rangers today.....guessing he won't go back-to-back against Columbus tomorrow?

Worst case scenario has happened. The game is going to overtime, and we’re out of a playoff spot
Agreed the three point game was exactly what we did not want but disagree we are "out of a playoff spot" right now. Based on Points Percentage which is important when teams have not played the same number of games, the Rangers are still behind us. Perfect example, Bruins are just two points behind us but we have three games at hand on them...in that instance who cares about points...it's points percentage.

While I would rather get the former CBJ legend Quick, I feel like we have struggled against him.
Stupid Lightning gives up a crao goal to Boston and goes down 2-0 with 6:00 left.
Not worried about the Bruins: two wild card spots and they are in seventh. The number of teams they need to jump is a herculean effort at this point, especially considering the sell off at the TDL. If they jump us, then we have bigger issues making the playoffs.

I don’t put any stock in the points % tiebreaker because in the end every team will have the same number of games played, and they have the same”real” tiebreaker.

Sunday scoreboard watching (just two other games on the schedule with implications for us)...

Devils @ Flyers: Devils really struggling without Hughes. Lost their last three and I feel confident the Flyers are officially out of the playoff race...so go Flyers.

Isles @ Ducks: Isles have won two in a row. Another win today and they leapfrog both Detroit and Montreal just one point behind the Rangers (depending the outcome of our game). Go Ducks.
