No tank ever. Players here need to show what they have. In skill and mindset. I don’t want players who are ok with losing.
It’s been one game but those players want to win. Best the bruins looked all season. Will be interesting to see next few games. In particular the Panthers tomorrow.

Maybe coach motivation for Tampa was
Freedom ville to play golf and hang on the beach.

play the kids, play fast, play hard, play relaxed but determined, and let the chips fall where they may

high draft picks are nice, but losing culture's aren't, ultimately we want this team to win, if the young guys and the new pieces sweeney brought in somehow naturally make the playoffs, even if they lose in the first round that's a good thing.

It dosen't matter what I want, this team without our top 2 defensemen isn't making the playoffs, let's all get real here. The best scenario is that the team plays hard, wins some games, loses more though to ensure we get a top 10 pick. I also don't want Sacco back next year because the Bruins win a bunch of meaningless games under zero pressure.

I am in no mood to see a 1 and done, 4 game sweep.
I guess you've got a point Donnie.

But playoffs are a different animal and players would learn to adjust during those games. I would take it 4 games of learning.

and let's face it, in 2008 there's not many who expected the Bruins to push things to 7 games after going down 0-2 to the leaders in the division.

Let the kids make the playoffs and learn the lessons.

Obviously I want them to play well, and for the new additions to find some ground.

That said, I want to sink lower in the standings to get a good draft pick.

This team as it’s currently constructed will not be able to compete in the playoffs.

Yep- I selected tank not because I am cheering for them to lose, but because I think they will and that can be a good thing. The new and young guys can still play well and show their stuff ahead of next season without winning. If they get in, they do, but I can't imagine they go anywhere even if.

Hard agree.

Cinderella stories are nice, but at the end of the day.. Talent wins in this league and the Bruins severely lack in that department.

The goal is the Stanley cup and I think this is one of those situations where both answers can be right? You want to acquire talent, but also keep a winning culture. However in the real world, the only way to be taken seriously in the playoffs is to have a bonafide #1C, shutdown pair, and elite goalie.. Unfortunately, I think this team should just bite the bullet this year and try to get in the top 5 for a chance at a franchise center.

I voted tank but don`t mean so in the truest sense, the boys will play hard and will win a few games, I personally feel they will simply be playing, on most nights, teams with better talent and will lose more than win on the way home
