The trade off was worth it for the pros. They'll take the extra 10 mph for a 8% chance of failure on each shot.

The parents however... couldn't give a flying F about flex and shot speed vs a $20 wood stick. Drove me nuts seeing 8 yr olds with sticks that cost as much as their skates and they can't even flex the stick.
