Speculation: Playoff Lineup

That's it .. nothing more to be said .. potentially Knies goes in for Bunting or Kerfoot but i doubt it .. potentially Lily goes in for Holl but I doubt it .. really only thing left is does Keefer go with 3 productive lines and an energy line .. or load top 2 lines .. given a couple summers back he said to everyone who would listen he wanted to have 3 productive lines vs Tampa i suspect he will do that

I was just interested in the 20. I listed it that way so people wouldn't get hung up on lines.

I was particularly interested in those believing Knies would start, who they see being taken out.

I think @ACC1224 nailed it.

There will probably be some injuries, and if series extend there could be some minor changes involving Liljegren, Knies and ??? along the way.

If it's a one-and-done again then it beats me what happens, because there might be some organizational desperation and panic as the writing appears on the wall. Would they double-down or shake things up? It's a hard question to answer.

99.9% the likely Game 1 roster IMO assuming all players above are healthy. Start with this and then go from there.

Liljegren will have trouble making space in the playoffs.
Have to say, I am even appreciating Holls added physicality lately.

Holl and Schenn have been significantly worse defensemen this season outside of a stretch of like 5-6 games. Benching Liljegren would be a massive, massive error. Have we not learned from Lyubushkin?

My guess is we start game one with this and Knies comes out for ZAR/Lafferty or maybe Bunts if he does something dumb and the same for Lily. If Schenn or Holl make a mess of things he will switch in

From what we've seen thus far what makes you believe Keefe goes with that lineup?
 
I think ZAR and Liljegren sit.

Kerfoot - ROR - Nylander

I change my mind every game basically, but I think this would be our ideal lineup.

So what stat makes you think Schenn should come out?
Now take that stat and look at how the slot is clear when Schenn is on the ice or when attackers see him on the blue line and dump the puck or when he manhandled the toughest guy on the other team.

Schenn is a #7 defenseman but playoffs need a Schenn. We tried to get a Schenn the past few playoffs, but none of them earned the moniker human eraser
