Last year so many people picked the Stars to beat us but that series wasn't that tough if you take away the dirty play Dallas threw around. This series will probably be tougher than that one but I don't see how we would be the underdogs. My pick is Ducks in six or seven.

series would have been short if getzlaf didn't break his jaw

really hope we can humble the jets fans, i expect getzlaf and kesler to be at the top of their games for this

A lot of it I'm sure is Boudreau's track record and the fact that the Ducks have flamed out early the past couple times they were in the playoffs. I do think Anaheim is a better team, however

Well its going to come down to goaltending and special teams. They have to show up and be above average to beat any team in the playoffs. I won't be surprised either way.

I'd say you're the most qualified so what's your take on this match-up?

Ducks in 6 or 7 IMO. Not even bias. I think if the Ducks get their offensive pressure rolling Pavelec will regress. He reminds me of Hiller. He gets in his own head and gets down on himself a lot. The defense will be challenging. The people in the official series thread are out to lunch on the Jets clear physical advantage over the Ducks. I'm convinced the people saying that don't even watch us. I think it is gonna resemble the Dallas series. It is gonna be a rough ride, but ultimately I think we come out on top. Assuming Boudreau doesn't **** it up.

Winnipeg is a good team. That's not in question but they battled a lot harder to get where they are. Reading the main thread you'd think they're flawless but even after the Buffalo trade there are holes. And the Ducks can beat them for sure if they expose them.

This is nothing compared to 8-9 years ago. Most here weren't around for Calgary and Colorado in 06, when both teams were much more established than now and had much mod edit fans.

Vancouver in 2007 was horrible, then Detroit the following round was a nightmare. Even San Jose was god awful in 09.

This is a ****ing treat compared to those.

So far, yeah. This one seemed to escalate rather quickly though. Not even a questionable hit or blown call yet.

This season he was. I'm sorry how many jets games did you watch this year? Kesler has the edge on physicality. I'm not saying Little is miles better. It's close.

Plenty. Certainly enough to know who I'd choose between them as my shutdown center. It's not close. Little's a legit first liner this year but he's not a better version of Kesler. He's a lesser version of Andy McDonald.

What's the news on Gibson? I worked and forgot to record the game, was he on the bench? I knew he hurt something at practice.

Props to you for being able to control yourself when reading that crap. I need to stay away for the series, else I'll be banned in no time.

There was a couple times I started out a reply post and then realized it would've just added to the **** fest... I mean there are kids in Africa with little to no internet, going to bed while the next page is waiting to load, we should think about our fellow man before we waste anymore on jet fans.

I think Getzlaf, Kesler and Perry will own the Jets. They just can't match up against us down the middle. Defence and goaltending are a toss up, but I think our big boys win this series for us.

I don't know if I'll be able to go to anything except Duck threads talking about the series. The lack of respect really irritates me. We were a better team than Winnipeg all year for a reason. If both teams play to the potential they've shown this year (even considering Boudreau) then we would win, that's why I see us as favorites. We could lose, obviously, and it will probably be a hard fought series but there is no way we should enter an underdog barring Getzlaf not being able to play or something.
