I love it on weekends when I can roll out of bed just before 10am and there's already a game about to start and it just carries on throughout the day. Best lazy weekend ever.

1PM seems a little early for a Hockey Game, maybe 3PM in the afternoon, I also am a fan of the 6PM Sunday games the Isles are playing alot at the Barclays Center.

Hate it here on the West Coast. I like to sleep in on weekends. It's why I've only seen maybe half of game for the Winter Classics. You want us to get up early on New Years Day? Suck it NHL.

I wish they started games an hour earlier. I feel like they run too late on week nights for most people.

It's funny because they cater to the in-person crowds to grab some food / drinks before the game, when they represents only about 15000-20000 fans, where the TV market is hundreds of thousands.

Hate them. Western conference fans shouldn't have to wake up before noon to watch their team

On Sundays, after football season is over, I really enjoy the noon, 1 EST starts. Kinda cool to roll out of bed on Sunday and have a hockey game to watch.

Love them when I go to the game but hate it for TV as usually unable to watch on weekend afternoon.

A lot of people have a commute that will still make them miss the beginning of a game, or the first period of games with a local 6pm time.

Living in Vancouver, I love 10:00am starts, especially Sundays. Both my dad and I are home Sunday mornings so we have some hot, fresh breakfast while we yell at the TV like idiots.

Waffles and hockey, it's a glorious thing.

At a lot of arenas one ticket is almost the same price as what it costs to get Centre Ice. If you're paying a couple hundred bucks for tickets, you should have time to get to the arena without being rushed, grab drinks etc. and watch warmups if you're paying those prices.

The people at home aren't buying merchandise, food, drinks etc at the games with high mark-ups - why the hell would they need to cater to them?
