I call this thread the "Cody Hodgson" special.

I remember people touting him as the next big thing for Vancouver, and instead he is barely a NHL player right now, was a massive disappointment in buffalo (alongside kassian), and will be out of the league in a few years. *Good job dad, nice call*

Who else you got?

Filatov, Schroeder, Olesz, Tukonen. Daniel Larsson and Justin Pogge for goalies.

Ludvig Rensfeldt was pretty good and never made the NHL (yet i guess... but slim chance now)

I was coming in here to say Hodgson, but oh well.

I was so sure at the time that Brayden Schenn was going to be a star. Great U20 performance, goes PPG in the AHL in a short stint, puts up 12pts in 7 games in the AHL the next season...what the hell happened to the guy?

He's only 23 (okay, soon 24) and this is his first taste of the top league. Franzen wasn't a regular contributor in the SEL either until around that age.

Far too many to name. I think people just put way too much stock into the WJC when it really doesn't mean much overall.

There are so many players who will be drafted high that weren't even on the radar for the Canadian roster.

Don't think Saku Maenalanen ends up being NHL-player anytime soon (probably ever). He was quite effective in 2014 (7+4).

Marc Anthony the specimen Stewart.

Kid was 6'2 230 lb of pure speed and muscle, tough as hell. Lead team Canada in points in the 2004 world Junior championships. Ended up being a nothing player.

Marc Denis

he had an pretty good 7 year run as a number 1 I thought. A lot of Canuck fans knew he was better then Cloutier.
