In 2015 Toronto Maple Leafs traded a 3rd round compensation pick to NJD for the rights to sign Lou Lamoriello as their GM.

Sharks eventually ended up with the pick and drafted Linus Karlsson 87th overall in the 2018 NHL Draft.

Karlsson 25yrs old, has been outstanding in the AHL since coming to North America in 2022. He had 60 pts in 60 games in the AHL last season and over a point per game again this season in the AHL before being called up.

Last night he scored his first NHL GOAL.

Dahlen had one decent season but it looks like long term the Canucks have somehow won that trade? So weird how things can turn out.

Lou's vision is just unreal, here's to his next 10 years on the Island. #EveryCenturyIsaLouCentury

Coincidentally the Sharks also have Jack Studnicka, who the Bruins obtained the same way for Peter Chiarelli
