Anyone out there think our next coach should be Mike Stothers ? He knows our younger players better then anyone and i think would be better suited taking the next step with our team.
Not saying he wouldn't help nhl club but i want him in charge of the ahl He did a good job there imoI think Hextall was much more involved with the NHL club than people realize, but you're right he did spend a lot of time in Manchester as well.
I would like to see Hextall back in the organization. I just don't think Robitaille or Blake would hire him.Not saying he wouldn't help nhl club but i want him in charge of the ahl He did a good job there imo
I agree i think they would worry he would take over there jobs. Im curious your "choice for coach" if u have one that isI would like to see Hextall back in the organization. I just don't think Robitaille or Blake would hire him.
I haven't given a significant amount of thought as to who the next coach should be for the Kings, mostly because I assumed Sturm would be taking over.I agree i think they would worry he would take over there jobs. Im curious your "choice for coach" if u have one that is
As stated in post 26 I am leaning towards Mike Stothers. He knows all our young players strengths and weakness from being in the ahl with them. I think it would give the younger players some confidence knowing there coach knows how to use them in the best situations. Players in particular im thinking LaDue Brodzinski and wagnerI haven't given a significant amount of thought as to who the next coach should be for the Kings, mostly because I assumed Sturm would be taking over.
I would be interested in reading your thoughts on the issue.
I'm on board with a new voice and a coach who is blunt with the players and can bring some energy and life behind the bench. Go the Jon Cooper like route and bring in a coach who has had success in getting the most out of his players at every level. The name that makes the most sense (if he so desires to take on this mess), would be Sheldon Keefe.
These videos offer a glimpse into his thought process and how he communicates.

Everyone should plan to drink a lot this offseason

I also like Rikard Gronborg who coaches the Swedish men’s national team. I think he’s leaving them after the upcoming World Championship.
That’s why I’m really curious about this teams play.. how TF does a whole team fall off?? There has to be some big divide behind the scenes..Also gives him time to re-establish some value--either for our club or for trade--as well in what's likely to be a 'meh' season.
Which is why I don't know how I feel about Sturm. He seems to be a bit of an innovator and a fresh mind--which I love. He's also close in age and has played with some of these guys. But I think I'll risk the tradeoff. Knowing how happy/excited people were to play for him in other gigs.
Some people never do. Erik Karlsson even still has a bit of a hitch in his step though I think his was worse. But what's strange about Carter's is he came back and performed like nothing ever happened (until the playoffs) the same year...it's only this year he tanked.
