Do not agree about the constant criticism about #12. If you watch the game, he looks like an NHL playyer now. Big difference in approach and almost with a bit of vet presence. He will almost certainly get dealt. And likely get better someplace else. No place for him here. Hope we get something in return

Some of the old heads on here like to declare every expensive vet we have is indispensable and therefore either Chytil or Kakko or some other core part of our future will get traded to make room or some such, instead of just parting with one expensive veteran to keep 2-3 kids.

Gauthier for all his faults creates consistent chances on almost every line he’s on. He hasn’t scored at this level but he hasn’t exactly gotten consistent playing time. If I’m a team like Buffalo or Montreal or even possibly Edmonton, I’d trade a late round pick for him and try to develop him on my 3rd line.

I liked the line with Laf and Chytil, Gallant kept it together for a while but they just never scored.
