Guys like Gauthier and Hajek should be on the Seattle's and Arizonas of the league. They need consistent time as bottom 6 guys OR get sent to the AHL and reinvent their games if they actually want to have an NHL career. Otherwise they can go to Europe and become Nigel Dawes.
I think the hardest thing for a pro is not being good enough to be a top player, not having the all around game to play in a lesser role and then have go reinvent yourself to be useful in that lesser role.
