Pacioretty is not good defensively usually. He's only good when he's working hard, like on the PK.

Desharnais is usually lost in his own zone, fantastic back checker.

Parenteau isn't really great at either.

DD back checks when he has to. Thats all otherwise he runs to the bench after turning over the puck usually causing his teammates to take the minus.

DD is a crap backchecker unless he is the only forward back, he bails on the line otherwise
