Tbh not qualifying Simon while buying out Johnson is something that's a little confusing to me. I thought they wouldn't qualify Simon because they didn't have the cap space to be comfortable with what he could get in arbitration. With Johnson bought out, that's not really true anymore.

Assuming Lafferty on the team at or around his QO, ZAR or a salary equivalent player on the 4th (Angello, Johnson etc), that puts us at 12F, 7D, 2 G and a hair under 4M in cap space. Trade MM for assets, and pick up a 3rd liner in trade or UFA, and call it an offseason.

Under what... 1m or so? it's 110%. Over that it's 100%. I'd have to go look up the exact limit, but it used to be 1m I believe. Anyway MM at 3.75m would only get 100% of his past salary.

I'm assuming Toronto either trades Anderson to Minny/somewhere else and picks up Murray or we just trade with Minny
