And can't make any real changes to the roster. As an example, if you get rid of Rust and Pets:Uh, that's not true. They only need to trade 1 of those guys to become cap compliant and they're comfortably under the cap if they trade 2 of them.

Leaves only ~9.5M in cap space (assuming Blueger signs for 1.75M, as an example). You typically like to leave at least 1M in space for injuries so they'd only have ~8M to sign a top line RW, top 9 F and fill out the bottom of the roster. Even if the bottom of the roster (2 Fs and a 6th D) cost a total of 3M, you've only left yourself 5M to sign a 1st line winger and a 3rd line winger. That's a forward group that's no better than this year and a D group that’s worse than this year. If you want to sign Ceci then you’re probably left with ~3M to sign a 1st liner and 3rd liner.
So yes, we would be tight to the cap without the ability to make real changes to the roster unless we trade 3 players with sizable salaries.
