I

but also, I'm preparing to lmao if we fire Sullivan just to hire Keefe.
I'm operating under the WBS coach->one final year for Sully to sort his shit out->inevitably fired because he's a fraud and the roster's got serious holes->Keefe promoted.

Because that's about as stupid as this organization's been operating for years.

Keefe would be great for the WB/S job but I think he'd probably have no trouble getting an NHL head job.
Yeah, I don’t know about head coach because there are a lot of coaches with head coaching experience still out there but he would definitely get an asst head coaching NHL position if he wants one…but maybe he prefers to be a head coach somewhere, even if in the AHL

His PPG average has dipped. I know the competition is better but we need more production from him. Otherwise it's another year in the minors. He better wake up!

I want him here! Come be with US Sheldon, oh yes!

Dubas is in the second inning here of the retool or rebuild once Sid and Geno are gone. Yager. ST Ivany, Poulin, Ponomarev, Pickering, Broz are the primary prospects. Without the draft pick this year, it does hinder the adding assets, Next off season the Pens will have to move players for picks and prospects.
You mistakenly 4got Koivunen. Why?

Being carried by Firkus and Mateychuk. I see him spending at least the next 2 years in WBS, because the Warriors are going to be devoid of talent starting next season.

I don't think he's being ''carried'' at all. He's better than those two, but he still needs to get a higher PPG for my liking despite being a very solid 200ft player.

Yager will eventually be a number 2 center. He to me needs size strength and will mature the next 2 years when Geno is gone and Eller is replaced by one of the other young centers Pens need far more in the system. But at least Pens have more options.

Given that Firkus had a higher PPG I think it's safe to say Yager benefited from Firkus more than the inverse. Also, though, the LW on that line was kind of a revolving door all year of nobody-specials so that should be taken into consideration as well.

It’s almost like all talented players benefit from playing with other talented players.

Nah man Jake had just been propped up by Sid his whole career. You can only have one good player on a line

Also Yager is the center and takes on more responsibilities. Also it’s only 5 pts.

Sure Firkus is a year older and a better player right now. But we don’t have to mentioned him every time some post yager doing something good.

I look at Yagers progression from year 1 to 2 to 3, When you see how much he's developed and improved THAT's the thing that I weight most heavily. He has a GREAT release! You can't really teach that, you either have it or you don't, and he does. And he's always been a conscientious two way guy, and while some aspects of that can be taught he's embraced it more than most.

Yager is definitely the better all around player. And a year younger, well 8 months I believe but you get my point.

Getting a projected 25-30 goal and 60ish pt player at the position we did who is a two way, all situational player is not tearing Yager down.
I might bump up those totals a little bit but I largely agree. With his release and ability to pick corners I could see him top out at 35 goals and possibly 70 points. That's a very nice piece for the future.

He reminds me of Thomas the center for the Blues who is a very good center although small. yager can add 10 to 15 pounds to me the next couple years and at 6-0 and now 190, he has the size to hang in a firefight as a second line center. His ability to shoot the puck and hit his spots is outstanding.
