Yager is a number 2 type center and with added size and maturity, van be a nice part of the next group of young players. Lots of work to do to get the franchise back into the mix. But assets can be traded here and development next number of years. Pens also have cap space that can be used for adding contracts for picks. Really good RD, young RW and center is the need here.

He got the hat trick in the 3rd . Koivunen had a great game. 3 G & 1 A . Named the #1 star, he looks very smooth and forechecks hard , not afraid to go in the corners. .
I watched about a period worth of the game while I was doing chores around the house. I some how managed to miss every point he scored.

From what I did see I liked his willingness to back check. He seemed to have reasonably good top speed, but I couldn't get a feel for his acceleration. The hockey sense is clearly there. If he's able to translate that thinking to a faster game I am not too worried about the foot speed, but I can see why he's not seen as a sure thing.

Nice to see Koivunen producing, anyway.

Maybe Ponomarev can get out of his extended scoring funk at some point so things don't seem so completely hopeless.

That’s MJ’s last game of the regular season. Here’s his last 14 games:

Are we signing that Tichacek kid? Free prospect. Can be Ty Smith’s immediate replacement in WB/S. Got nothin’ to lose, he should be a quality AHL player at worst.

When is the draft lottery?
Can’t seem to find a date but I thought it was usually within a week after the end of the regular season.
