We looked stunned, almost across the board. Starting holding on too long trying to make clean exits instead of ramming the puck back up the ice as quickly as possible and put shots on net to try to disrupt Pittsburgh's pressure. It's true we're very young. We look it in this game.

But promising at least.

At least Georgiev continues to play well. And as bad as that period was, the one before it probably had Pittsburgh fans nauseous.

Well in a lot of ways again it's a young team with holes in its lineup trying to learn how to play game in and game out in the NHL

It's not always fun but it's not surprising either

Man that first 10 minutes was fantastic hockey, but again they started playing more passive and making soft plays instead of hard plays. Expected a pushback from Pittsburgh for sure but man I wish they wouldn't get on their heels as much.

you know its funny for years and years during the 'dark ages' people said 'you can't rebuild in new york'. and i spent countless hours ranting at people that this theory was complete bs and that our fans are smart and if there was a plan they would gladly sit thru a year or 2 of losing if the end result is there. what they wouldn't tolerate was losing for the sake of losing with no long term plan...well fast forward nearly 20 years later and i got my rebuild, and every day I come onto a board dedicated to hockey prospects and get reminded just how dead wrong I was.

at least they're going 3-on-3 now at the goal line instead of getting outnumbered in their own zone for no f***ing reason.
