Penguins running a 3 man hard forecheck while the Rangers halfheartedly defend with 2.

Coach needs to scream at them and show them some video of this shit. This is mind numbing.

Quinn always goes to the board to get the puck out. It takes a period for every team to figure it out during the first intermission and close off that pass out. Ottawa picked up on it and smoked us too.

They did ramp up the forecheck.
 
“Buick” has to be the most unappealing brand name. I mean, seriously, it has “ick” in it.
 
Rangers didnt work hard enough to draw a penalty in that 2nd. Barely possessed the puck. They looked slow and f***ing lazy. Its infuriating after the 1st period they played. Where is the leadership.

and Skjei and Howden are just mind blowingly bad.
 
College coach is going to chalk this one up to poor effort and not wanting it enough.

I’ve felt for weeks that Howden is the forward version of Skjei in that they feel like they both keep trying to be players that they aren’t and it’s hurting their play so much

Yeah i know that, but he's not as bad as Howden, that guy is a whole other breed of donkey.
 
Lot of turnovers Fox had a rough one but he did not commit a penalty I mean his stick doesn’t even make contact let alone hook anyone. Just an awful call and pens have 3 power plays Rangers none? Absurd.

why Howden is matched against Malkin I’ll never know

highlight of the period was joe doing his best pierre impression going on and on about crosby and how he can win you games even when he doesn't have the puck cause he's so good...and then they flash a graphic showing that the pens have a higher winning % and lower GAA without him in the lineup lol
 
If Quinn doesn't change up the lines when Zibanejad is back and get that third line some help...well, I'm not going to do anything but I"m going to be frustrated
just can't hang them out to dry like this
