Anyone else surprised at how Nolan has pretty much regressed since the (Olympic) break.
Guy's game has gone down the tubes since then.
The two guys L.A. signed in the offseason as insurance policies playing in the NHL in October. Didn't take long. Fortunate that Columbus claimed Cracknell off waivers with all those injuries that keep piling on. Van Der Gulik seeing some action as well tomorrow as well, it seems.
Will Jordan ever get a Weal chance in the big club? The saga continues...
That's not bold. This is bold - Pittsburgh won't be called "contenders" all night.
I was like "ahh that's nice for him, but who?"
Sucks for weals
This.
However, is lewis at like 8 games out? We can put him on retroactive LTIR if he is not back in two games (and be able to activate him when ever he is ready) yes?

"We're not the same team we were," Sutter said. "[Drew] Doughty missed a lot of camp. [Jake] Muzzin missed a lot of camp. Brayden [McNabb] has to learn how to play in the NHL. We're having to do it as we go along here. It's totally different than last year."
"You look at all those things and it's a big difference," Sutter said. "Jordan Nolan never played in the playoffs for us and only played 60 games last year. We're trying to find out if he can help us.
I guess the potential bonuses ruled him out for emergency recall? Or he has a games played bonus of 40+ of one game. Interesting, I'll have to look at CBA.
Anyways looks like Kings options for emergency recall were Maxim Kitsyn, Brian O'Neill, Andrew Crescenzi and David Van der Gulik (among forwards). It's almost too bad Kings signed Zykov last year as signing a junior player to an ATO would have been the other option (like Kings did with Schenn a couple years back). Michael Amadio, Matthew Mistele and Spencer Watson would have been options for this however only a top guy like Zykov would have been considered.

Thomas was good as were Sim and Pirnes. Murray had promise too.Andy Murray would've made Van Der Gulik a top six LW, just as we saw them try that with Jaroslav Bednar, Tomas Vlasak, Erik Rasmussen, Noah Clarke, etc.
May Van Der Gulik be etched in Kings fans' memory in the same vein as Scott Thomas, Derek Bekar, Brady Murray, John Tripp, Jon Sim, or Esa Pirnes.
Agreed. I was just laying out all the options that the Kings had available to them. Van Der Gulik was pretty much the obvious choice.

Lewis should take one for the team and just go no LTIR, he would miss what one more game? And the Kings could bring up a better player than VanDerPoo@reallisa: Lewis and Kopitar close to returning but obv not going to take a chance at this stage.
@Rich_Hammond: Funniest day of training camp was when Van Der Gulik didn’t have a # on his helmet and Lombardi didn’t know who he was.
LOL same.
