That's nice and all but that's a very selective way of looking at the stats. They're only tied for 18th in PPO if you look at totals, not average or mean, and even then it's not accurate to say they're in 18th place. They're actually tied for 8th place with 4 other teams when just looking at the # of opportunities (32), with 15 teams ahead of them. But they've also only played 8 games so far, tied for fewest in the league. The more important question is, how many PPO are they getting per game so far? They're averaging 4 per game, which ties them for 4th with 2 other teams (there are 5 teams combined in 1st thru 3rd place).

But penalty stats can be misleading since they assume the penalties called are just and ignores calls that should've been made. I've got 5 speeding tickets, but that doesn't tell you how many times I've actually been speeding. My g/f has 0, but that also doesn't tell you how many times she'd been speeding. Guess which one of us is prettier? lol

All I'm saying is, the refs seem to give the Pens the benefit of the doubt more often than any other team in games I've watched them in. I'm not a Pens hater as I think they're fun to watch.

Having said all that, the Kings would likely be losing this game anyway.
