I know, I'm trying to make deal for veteran right shot D. I am thinking make an offer to DeAngelo next summer. A 1 year contract

That's terrific, but the trade would be for their performance this year. (And, incredibly, for the next few years after that as well as Letang his 41.)

This year, their stats are:

Letang: 2 goals, 4 assists in 21 games, -13 overall
Anderson: 4 goals, 6 assists in 22 games, -2 overall

What are their stats now?

It's almost like a tiny sample size that can be undone in two weeks is a poor way to gauge value.

Damn, quicker than I thought too.

Anderson scoring 0 points in his last 7 games and Letang scoring 4 goals and 4 assists in his last 7 games is a nice capper.

I'm not going to dunk on Habs fans for not wanting Letang because his contract is so ugly, and I don't think Letang returning to his normal really changes anything. That said, it does reinforce the idea that the OP deal of Letang for Anderson is horrid for the Penguins.

Me neither, but I'll dunk on anyone for suggesting Josh Anderson is on par with Letang, or worse, somehow better or worth more based on less than 1/4 season.
