He's terrible. There is zero redeeming qualities in his game. Try watching him play 60+ games a year and you'll see what Canucks fans see: a guy with terrible hockey sense, inept at clearing the crease, slow foot speed and inability to make a simple pass. There is literally nothing he does well at the NHL level.

He literally is. Several metrics and evaluation methods have Gudbranson Dead Last. No exaggeration, the very last place.

The reason for that is simple - most teams don't have 3rd pairing AHL defensemen playing in NHL. Imagine Brian Strait in NHL, that's what you get. Although the difference, indeed, is that Strait's not owed 4mil per year over the next few years.

Very vanilla, but he was patrolling the 3rd line most nights. Great defensively with a little offense.

No he is not. He is so bad. He can't play d at all. He is a -27 next closest on the team is -16. It feels like he is on the ice for every other goal against.

Nearly beat you after two long playoffs and only having 3 healthy forwards on the ice (Sid/Guentz/Hornqvist). Enjoy the one cup against the misfit toys in Vegas. Was certainly new and exciting to see players drink beer after they won it. National news.
