Lol no. He scored two goals in back to back games on the 27th of February and 1st of March with the GWG on the first. :help:

Do you think he looks like a top 10 scorer since he has been here?

If we didn't know who he was and just watched him, almost every single fan would want him to not dress in these playoffs. Either he is hurt or his skills have severely eroded.

BTW, I merely corrected the poster who said he had a 4 goal game the week before the trade.

No you merely took what was either a mistake or misunderstanding of the manner his goals were scored the week prior to the trade and tried to turn it in to a justification for Yzermen being an oracle who unloaded MSL just as he is about to go from a PPG player to over-the-hill, overpaid geezer.

I never said he did look like a top 10 scorer since arriving? He slumped down the stretch and was very good against the Flyers. Every single fan who wouldn't want him to dress is either blind or ignorant and would have cost the team advancing to the second round.

Compelling argument and evidence, however. :thumbu:

Wish they'd put up some real traffic in front of Fleury tonight. Screening and just be annoying. His confidence is contagious, and need to be stopped. It's not sustainable anyway, but they got to do something to make him face reality.

If Kreider is back (doubt it), I want these lines..

Kreider Stepan Nash
Hagelin Richards St Louis
Pouliot Brassard Zucc
Boyle Moore Carcillo

Make it happen AV...

Even tho I thought game 3 was shyte when he was skating with guys with better foot speed than Nash and Stepan he actually looked like his old self. I am not making excuses but Nash and Step are slow off the line so perhaps playing with guys that need time to get up to speed is foreign to him. I thought perhaps playing him with a heady player like Dom Moore who can skate might make sense.

Whatever, he had it on January 18th of this year. His skills didn't erode until he was traded to us, miraculously.

It wasn't a mistake or misunderstanding, but exactly. I knew he scored four goals recently before the trade and I just used hyperbole saying a week before. Kinda like how everyone calls him 39 when he's 38 and says Nash makes $8M when he makes $7.8M or how Hank makes $9M etc etc, I didn't bother to look up when the game was

Maybe you should go back and read what he wrote because you are factually incorrect. Being snarky while being wrong screams buffoon. The original poster has admitted has since admitted he was wrong.

St. Louis has been terrible, not just bad in these playoffs. He had one good game out of 10
Perhaps to you this is acceptable.

Nash has been bad and justifiably ripped here. St. Louis, a better player, has been given a free pass by the same posters.

I think everyone here would assess St. Louis as a better player than Nash, yet we rip Nash and let St. Louis slide. Maybe hatred has had a longer time to fester for Nash.

I think sometimes I get tired with scapegoats being chosen. There are idiots here who have been criticizing Hank this time. I understand that some of them are in love with Richter and feel threatened by Hank, but others are clueless.

During the season Boyle took a ton of abuse and I never understood why.

Some are whipping boys.

The worst are those trashing McDonagh. The guy is a warrior playing hurt and some idiots are ripping him. Maybe I am just sick of reading stupidity over and over.

Alright, we'll beat those birds tonight. Our team had a day off, hope they spent it well. Now we should be back in business :)

I'm a buffoon? Classy.

He scored four goals in a game on January 18th of this year. Sorry it wasn't a week before.

He was a PPG player up until the trade. How did Yzerman miraculously see these ****ing eroding skills that we see now and "fleece" Sather? Come on now, any way we can bash Sather for no ****ing reason. Say he gave up too much because he was bidding against himself, fine, but don't make it like Yzerman miraculously saw these eroding skills and pulled one over on Sather, when he clearly ONLY traded him because MSL demanded to be gone.

“@PLeonardNYDN: Chris Kreider takes the ice with the team for Rangers' full AM skate at Garden #NYR .. First time since surgery”

Call me a fairweather fan, a bandwagoner (Fact of the matter is I will always be a Rangers fan) but I will not waste my time today watching the game. As is now with my work, private time for me is a luxury and I'd rather watch a movie or play a video game than be stressed out seeing a bunch of braindead, headless chickens skating around the rink. A league-wide joke of a PP, a soft Penguins team that manages to outhit us, and the type of shot selections this team utilizes that we can make a scrub goalie get back-to-back shutouts in back-to-back games?

PASS!

Important stuff, thanks for the post.

Would be interesting to see if Kreider can come in with a big enough impact to be an "X" factor.

Expectations for Kreider are gonna be through the roof if he plays.

I will be happy if he can use his speed to back off the d on the rush, win some battles in the corners, and cause some disruption in the crease. If he does those things it should open up space for his linemates to really make plays.

It will be a sign of complete desperation if you ask me. But I guess we are...

Kreider alone is not the answer anyway, all our key players must step up to win this game.

Fleury must be solved.

I think he brings size and speed, it's what the Rangers need. He's hard to the puck and likes to bang along the boards. His speed kills, maybe he can rally the troops for tonights game!

A buffoon is someone who thinks MSL has been terrible and Steve Y cunningly predicted his demise (despite scoring 4 goals right before the trade deadline) and unloaded him to the unsuspecting Rangers. Solid analysis and theories here.

No, the Pens D needs to be "solved" because these guys have been too incompetent/fatigued against them...

Once that is solved, Fleury will resolved concurrently.

We can't worry about Fleury, we have to focus on our own game and hope he lets in a few.

The goals last game were avoidable. If we prevent those dumb defensive mistakes, worst case scenario we go into overtime tied at 0 each of these games.
