If you can find a taker for Jarry at 50%, even if you need to attach a non first round pick to do it, it's better for the team than a buyout.

Zero chance. No reason for the Pens to trade Jarry with a valuable pick or to buy him out. Team is going nowhere.
They’ll have a chance to trade him after the 26 season when they could pay his 3mil bonus and he will only have a salary of ~1mil and a 5.3mil cap hit.

Rather just buy Jarry out and ride the cheap salaries of Murashov/Blom.
The right answer here is buy Jarry out. There's no reason he should even be taking up a spot in Wilkes Barre. Just move on from this loser.
We're not going to be good in the next 3 years anyway and the 3 years after that it's an 800k cap hit.

The right answer is bury him. It's the same 3 years (costing roughly the same) and it is over with, not another 3 years of losing space no matter how small it is.
Then maybe a straight swap of contracts like Jarry and Goodrow where the Pens retain some to make it appealing for the Sharks to take on an extra year?

Why would the Pens want Goodrow?
They need to make space for the young players and have too many crappy old forwards as it is.
They don't. If the Pens want to move Jarry without paying an asset or buying him out, taking a contract like Goodrow is about the only way to do it. If the Pens want to make space for younger players this season, renting Beauvillier will be how that happens. Next year, you have movable assets like Buntings, Hayes, and Heinen that are playing in spots where you'd actually want to give those players a chance. Goodrow is a 4th liner and you'd want him to fill that spot rather than any kid you have hope in because they're not developing on that line in the NHL.
