they seem to be very cautious about Harrington and Bubba innings in AAA. Plus they don’t want Bubba losing a year of service time before may. Ashcraft and Burrows have been rough so far
This seems to be the case
But..i mean, i get not wanting to burn a year to "stay competitive" with talent longer... But.. We're going to lose every single one of our players if they're any good anyway because we won't pay them what they're worth in year seven (random number example) anyway
So why the hell not play your best cards now? We're going to fold in the long game, regardless
Why purposefully suck extra ass now, to maybe just suck regular ass in five years?
Put the best we have on the field when we have em, cause we ain't keeping anyone for a full career anyway?
I dunno. I'm not a manager. And my risk taking is along the lines of, if your fuel tank is on E, do you just drive even slower, or floor that shit and cover more distance faster?
(not to mention the theory, that it you know, you're not a losing laughing stock today, you might afford these good players when the time comes in any case... Or we can keep putting the mlods of the world and ice cold bullpens out there.. I mean.. 39 year old carlos santana looked better than any of us, good thing we ran away from him...)
