Post-Game Talk: Pickard orders McDavid to go warp speed

I don't even know what Debrusk was talking about. "he was just going for the puck" the kind of braindead play Debrusk would make because he didn't deserve to be on the ice from a hockey or skill standpoint.

Roy should feel like shit for what he did. I believe he did. The puck was around but to two hand somebody in the face with your stick. I don't care where the puck was I don't see that as a hockey play. If somebody on the other hand accidentally highsticked trying to bat puck down at least that could be understood as an attempt at a hockey play.

Roy reacted like a guy going to the gallows. he knew what he did and the book was going to be thrown at him. The skate of shame off the ice not even looking at team mates because he completely f***ed up. To make matters worse it was an offensive zone play. A major Penalty taking place 150 ft from your own goal.
That was f***ing brutal. Louie sounded like that dumb blonde lady explaining how sensible Donald Trump is. Yeah , Louie, I’m always trying to play the puck with my stick neck high extended in a cross checking position. Like just f*** off.

Their coach get anything for bitching about officiating or is that just reserved for franchises that aren’t Bobbleheads pet projects?
I was wondering the same thing last night.

If that were an oilers coach we would be forfeiting a draft pick or something stupid

Even calls the guy out by name…

Dumb league. No equity

Holy crap that is crazy. A hearing for an accidental can opener?

Where is Roys? 100x worse
I wouldn’t be surprised if Arvidsson hearing is about him smiling and laughing on the bench when the replay on the jumbo was playing. The actual play I don’t see how a missed call trip warrants even 1 game

Lol. Except Louie is 100% correct. He never defended the decision, he just reported it.

Roy 100% decides for some asinine reason to play the puck with a cross check. You can literally see him tracking the puck with his eyes(No Eakins intended) and then trying to hit it. It was an absolutely bad decision, but it happened nonetheless

It's crazy how many of you listen to common English and morph it into something entirely different.

I listened to the same Louie explanation, and nowhere close did he defend the play. He merely broke down the reason the player did.

No clue why some people have an agenda

Just stationary, being the same PP that the whole league has studied for half a decade. The Drai 1-timer never even becomes an option anymore. Yet somehow we allow Vegas to make that same pass on us with ease.

Badly need some PP adjustments still.

If you want to beat our PP you just need to do these two things:

1 - Stack the blue line and aggressively pursue RNH if he takes the pass on entry

2 - Get very aggressive on 29/97/2 if they get the puck. They all will want to sit on it and look for spots, they don't like to move it quickly.

That's it pretty much. It's a stale system that everyone has figured out. There needs to be much, much quicker puck movement, and a lot more put on net, especially off the walls where we don't shoot ever unless it's a clean one timer.

The seams that 97/29 wait around for to open up will open up if they get the puck moving and create more scramble opportunities low. Right now they just sit there and essentially wait to turn it over because lanes aren't opening just because.

Has this dude seen any of our first round games in the last 4 years?

Maybe we can take a page out of the Golden Knights' book and LTIR Drai during the regular season to bring in $14 million worth of players at the deadline. Then, we have healthy Drai for the playoffs. Well, at least to start...

I'm connected through friends to a few NHL reporters and insiders (or well they call themselves insiders) and the expectation from most of them is that the NHL will roll out some sort of rule to prevent LTIR usage as cap circumvention.

In case you guys were still wondering if Gary is actively trying to f*** with us.

The one that apparently wasn't called, the stick clipped the guys shield and you'd think he was hit by a snipers bullet the way he snapped his head back. I think maybe, just maybe, the refs got a bit tired of their antics.

In the second FLA/TOR game, Rodrigue got drilled face first into the boards, lay on the ice and then went to the dressing room.

The officials penalized the TOR player for the hit and gave Rodrigue two for embellishment. Florida has been faking injuries and having players stretchered off to the dressing room only to pop up two shifts later for years now (remember the 'kneeing' major on Bennett in the SCF?).

So yeah, maybe the refs are finally starting to catch on to some of the nonsense the southern state teams have been able to get away with for some time now.

I knew as soon as a Canadian team tried it, they would do something about it.

Even this year, the Oilers were clearly worried about something because they kept Kane out of game one... not Florida, though, they had Tkachuk in for the first anthem.
