The two teams you mention were a combined 1-8 versus the Knights in the playoffs? LOL just yanking your chain I know what you are getting at. The greatest advantage I think teams have against the Knights in the Memorial Cup is the single game tournament style schedule. McKenna for example is skilled enough he can beat a team in a single game where over the course of a seven game series (or even 5 games) he probably doesn’t.pick apart the minimal flaws in the Knights game plan that teams like the Attack and Generals were able to get limited success on.
Good!!!Is there a reason there's no title sponsor for the Memorial Cup this year? Last year it was Dow Chemical, before that Kia Motors and before that Mastercard... This year the memorial cup logo just has the CHL logo in it
Cough "Rob Faulds" Cough. I do miss RJ and Sam though.Good!!!
Nothing worse than have the commentators on TV every time they say “Memorial Cup” have to say the sponsor in front of it.
“MasterCard Memorial Cup”
“MasterCard Memorial Cup”
“MasterCard Memorial Cup”
Ugh!! It got to the point where it was like fingers on a chalkboard.
I swear they got paid every time they managed to say itGood!!!

Well even if they don't have a sponsor to mention, they'll probably have a song that gets played before every commercial break or game intro like Lay it on the line for this year's NHL playoffs.I swear they got paid every time they managed to say it
Me too.I'm going for Moncton. I don't hate London or anything, but never want to see a rival take it. I also can't go for Rimouski. It's frustrating to watch an undeserving host take the title, like we have seen in recent years.
Me too.
Just asking. But why would Rimouski be an undeserving host? Historically, the Q always has this tournament in small buildings with not much emphasis on hotels, etc. etc. etc.
So full of it. Like you wouldn't have been celebrating if the Soo won the bid, went out in the conference final, and ended up winning the memorial cup.I should clarify that they certainly deserve to be a host city.
What I meant was that they didn't earn their way there, but they were at least close. Teams like Windsor and Saginaw lucking into wins when they couldn't even beat their own conference was unfortunate for the league. It makes the cup seem a little gimmicky.
I predict Moncton over Medicine Hat in semis and London over Moncton in the finalsI find it interesting that Medicine Hat is currently the second choice to win the Memorial Cup when the West has been very weak the past several years. They haven't won since 2014 and have only made the final 3 other times.
I think the fact that London isn't a more overwhelming favourite is wishful thinking among some. For the record I pick Moncton over Rimouski in the semi final and London over Moncton in the final.

I can't say Saginaw was undeserving last year. They lost to London in the conference final in a very competitive series. That was after a tough 7 game series vs Soo, while London had a very easy time with Kitchen the previous series.Undeserving?
They made their league finals and lost in 6. If anything they’re the most deserving team in years.
Yup I respect teams that always try to go through the front door as the host and win their Leage Championship.Undeserving?

That team was very specialYup I respect teams that always try to go through the front door as the host and win their Leage Championship.
Btw, the 2005 London Knights were the last team to win the junior hockey triple crown. Host, League Champion, and Memorial Champion. That’s respect!
So did Spokane and Oshawa, but they aren't there. I'm pulling for Moncton because they earned it. You don't have to pull for the same team.Undeserving?
