off topic, but did the guys on CBC really just say that O'Reilly would be taken 2nd overall in a re-do of the 09 draft? the longer he holds out, the more over-rated he's getting..

I thought the same thing! If it was true then Colorado would trade Duchene and keep O'Reilly, ridiculous comment. This guys hype is through the roof, 18 goals and he is a 1st line superstar.

Everyone would like to see him scoring. But this is our 14th game. Patches was out for a few of those having an operation. So given that he was playing good two years ago and showed a vast improvement last year, this slump would appear to be the anomaly, not the good play.

And really it's too soon to say he's better than Kulikov. Or hell, Kassian or even Lebust could be better than him long term.

Duchene's only making $3.75M this year and next. O'Reilly wants $5M.
