Pitchers are blowing out at an alarming rate. Hey let’s force every starting pitcher to throw 200 innings per year. Minor league pitchers are throwing like 100 innings per year so you would be doubling their workload in one year (in theory). Skenes will blow out by 26.

I think the thing I would do, if I were to ever do anything, is go 1990’s kickball rules and have a foul out. Used to be 4 fouls and you’re out. That would max out AB’s at 9 pitches. Maybe I’d go to 10. Because that’s far enough to where it doesn’t happen often, but if you’re going further then that, everyone’s wasting our time anyways.

I generally have liked their new rules like the pitch clock, the three batter minimum, the hard count amount of mound visits, etc. but this one doesn’t really make much sense.
